With eight days to go until Election Day, a new survey indicates an extremely close race for Floridas 29 electoral votes. According to a CNN/ORC International poll released Monday, 50% of likely voters in the Sunshine State say they are backing Republican nominee Mitt Romney, with 49% supporting President Barack Obama. The former Massachusetts governors one point margin is well within the surveys sampling error.

Florida news.
It came out yesterday.
CNN poll in FL has Romney up 1, 50-49. Sample is D+1 (was D+3 in 08, even in 2010). Romney up 5 w/ independents.
where is CNN doing these polls?, Im in NE FL and there are only two obama yard signs we;ve seen [one in a run down, meth lab trailer park and the other by a NY family who just moved here who don;t work, live on welfare , food stamps] trust me we travel every day a lot around here.
CNN does this FL poll and then I saw another of their polls saying their messiah was up in VA by 5 which is way out of the other polls and surely VA wil nto go to him again.
CNN has lost viewers and now their polls are whcko and it seems they wouidl rather go down in history and lose their jobs than actually do some good reporting and not biased reporting.
I have to see the internals but my guess is its D+ oversampled 7 or 8+.
If that’s true, this poll only creates the illusion of a close race in FL.
I don’t believe that’s true! The I-4 Corridor swing vote will go for Romney and Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties won’t put out near the margins to offset R&R’s votes in the rest of the state.
FL is a solid Romney lock.
If it truly is that close, that is problematic.
Florida will go for Romney because there are a lot of small businesses there.
Yeah. Other polling outfits have pulled out of Florida because it isn’t close. CNN needs ratings so they keep up with the close race garbage.
Mason-Dixon says it is over in FL.
trust me I;m here and you are right, there is nothing like 2008.
NE FL where I am is solid republican and Romney so is NE FL, the I-4 corridor is going to go to Romey, SW FL will go republican.
The NE part is always Dem because of the snow birds and those who moved here from the north , places like MA, NY, NJ, PA, IL in the 80’s and 90’s for their retirement sadly.
FL will go Romney , NC, and CO I think will too, VA will be close but think we will get it but maybe IO might go for us as might WI but I think we’ll lose WI by a small margin due to the massive voter fraud.
OH and massive voter fraud is a problem
O pulled out of the state weeks ago and gave it up. There’s barely any enthusiasm for him.
But there is a big Romney GOTV effort there. CNN’s poll numbers showing it within the margin of error are way off.
If it’s accurate, it’s well within the margin of fraud.
Why do posters here still believe a word pushed by this Obama front group !
Did not fat candy ‘s outrageous behavior say it all ?
CNN has the worst polling records on cable !
Let’s recall gov Scott was too close to call on CNN and the race was over when the polls closed !!!
I have R winning FL, VA, CO, OH, and IA and O winning WI, PA, MI, and NV
One thing I learned from Lord of the Rings is that you can’t trust ORC’s. But the ORC’s are very reminiscent of modern Democrats.
I’ll go the same as you there.
The left is VA is close will not let that go without lawsuits, same as FL
After seeing the papers endorse Romney in IO then I now think we can win that.
PA will be massive voter fraud from Philly yet again thus off set the rest of the state, .
MI is a lost cause .
WI will be close but again massive voter fraud, as there is no way the left will want to see their union strong hold go republican in this election and after the smacking they had in 2010 so count on massive fraud from Madison WI.
OH worries me, the left again will vote early and often plus them bussing in non citizens all the time will make it close.
I saw that the college there has only given 3,000 votes which is way down from 2008, so that is good news.
Yes becuase one poll from CN means you should start with the Concern Troll crappola. Don't do it man, fight your instincts.
NM always gets me.
I know there are many hispanics there but so has AZ, TX.
NM is surrounded by red states, has voted in republican Gov and yet it wil probably go to the Dems yet again.
NM stands alone out there, just strange though NH might go Romney which is certainly surrounded by the loons from VT, MA, etc.
I’ve been to NH many many times, I love that state and it seems the state has many republicans who have left the New England liberal states and wanted to get away from big Govt
If signage is an indicator, Romney is way in the lead where I am.
