It's all anecdotal at this point, but if crime reports following hurricanes Katrina and Irene are any indication, the East Coast is in for a crime wave, post-Sandy.
No reports of looting or Hurricane Sandy-related crimes have been reported yet but that doesn't mean we won't see some soon.
Following Hurricane Katrina, the most devastating hurricane in modern memory, New Orleans was besieged with reports of looting, rape, and murder, causing delayed troop deployments, delayed medical evacuations, and police department mutiny, The New York Times reported in 2005....(excerpt)

Not going to happen. There will be opportunistic burglaries, I’m sure - but there will not be crowds of miscreants smashing into drugstores and electronics stores and carting everything off.

New Orleans Super Dome... 5 days after Katrina... one of “holder’s people” (hey I am just using the term in the same manner and with the same meaning that holder himself used it), “If dey don’t get no help up in here... we gonna start eatin’ oneanutha”.

About a week after Katrina... I had an Army Colonel and Captain come to my rural Mississippi property... checking on us. I thanked them both for their service in Iraq and in Afghanistan... they were shocked... I offered a hot shower and a cold drink to them if they needed them... and they in turn said,
“No thanks... we have everything that we need. You people certainly know how to handle yourselves in an emergency... everyone wants to help us... a week ago we were both flying support mississions in New Orleans and they were shooting at us”.

There were some who thought that right after 9-11, thered be massive looting in NYC didnt happen. And I dont think it will happen this time either. NYC is not NO.

Looting is a way of life, and ANY excuse is good enough.
The State-Run-Media will play up the "poor people trying to provide for their families" crap, when the "families" have no identified fathers, and they live on welfare, food stamps, and Obama Money (from his Stash), anyway.
As I said, look for Debit Cards and EBT's to be flowin' freely to Harlem, Queens, and The Bronx, using Sandy as an excuse for that "walkin' around money".

"Shoot the bastards on sight and there'll be rapidly diminishing instances thereof."Yup; no Repeat Offenders, and a definite reduction in Democrat Voters, too.
A two-fer.

It all comes down to ethics and morals. Ive been through multiple disasters including two hurricanes, Irene and Ike, as well as a huge wildfire. There was no looting where I lived. ZERO. People banded together and helped each other. It was amazing actually, seeing neighbors helping neighbors and there were so many opportunities to help.
I hope people are well armed and prepared for the Obama-Vulnerables to inevitably descend upon towns like zombie hordes.

"There was no looting where I lived. ZERO. People banded together and helped each other."Same in my neighborhood after tornadoes, or severe storms, or even mega-snowstorms.
The DIFFERENCE is as stark as the mentality between the parasites, and those who are TRADITIONAL FAMILY/MORAL VALUES people who vote Conservative, vs. the parasites who want what you got!

And that would be different from four years of Obama?

No reports of looting or Hurricane Sandy-related crimes have been reported yet but that doesn't mean we won't see some soon.More media hype. If there are no reports of looting, then why the media report about looting? How about reporting real news for a change?
To: goldstategop
Would looting and the images be linked to Obama or Republicans?

"You people certainly know how to handle yourselves in an emergency... everyone wants to help us... a week ago we were both flying support mississions in New Orleans and they were shooting at us." On day three (electricity is out for a week), after Katrina, the Red Cross from Nebraska came by offering MRE's....we invited them back to the deck for spaghetti, garlic bread and wine (or sweet iced tea) that we were having for lunch.
