One of the ways some people deal with potential bad news is denial. Its an effective tool to shield oneself. It doesn’t mean the person doesn’t care, it means the person cares more than they can handle.

Also check out the "Hurricane Sandy Will Not Land in the US (10-23-12)" thread which is now locked. I discovered he was a jerk last night on that thread.

He's not the only one who thought it was over-hyped...or not going to hit the US at all. Matter of fact, I was still having a debate with a troll late this morning about the fact Sandy had made the turn (contrary to their forecast). He was saying it hadn't and wouldn't. Even put out a map showing it missing the US.

And I know one poster "marked" my forecast on that thread. Feel free to verify it.
