BUT shutting down the SUBWAYS!... very very suspicious

Actually it's not. The subway tunnels are deep underground and are below the water table. Pumps constantly run to keep the system dry. They are not designed to handle floodingz and storm surge. Last year during Irene many of the tunnels were flooded.

Some people on FR are in denial about this storm.

I hope it misses the coast but it is not hype.
