Stevens being taken to the Hospital by the Libyans fits the story line about it being a kidnap attempt busted up by the CIA agents on scene. They had him and wanted to keep him alive.

Yep. And to add to it, couple that with the stand down order and you have a conspiracy where they were supposed to kidnap him and the president would use his amazing negotiation prowess to trade the Blind Imam for Stevens and he is the “Reagan-like” hero just before the election.

‘Cept some americans fought, there was a fire, and the plan backfired.

I’m not saying that is what happened, but it is plausible and it is this president’s MO.

Ernest, I don’t think anything is impossible with Obama.

All I know is he is a LIAR, and I hope, at least, some people realized he lied about the video, and did it to save his political skin, in other words, to help his election chances.

The media, too, covered and ARE covering for him (witness their LACK of coverage today). I hope that causes more people to turn their crappy stations OFF and stop watching, and stop buying their bird cage liner newspapers and magazines.

I hope and pray Obama loses, and the drvieby media loses ad revenue equal to millions of $!

There is no doubt he is a liar.

Let me itemize a couple of things.

1. Secutity at the consultante was provided by a group aligned with the Muslim Brotherhood.

2. The arrangement for the weapons and training of Libyan militia members going to Syria was with the Muslim Brotherhood.

3. The attack was by an Al Queda group ( name escapets me at the moment)

Implications of a kipnap attempt for purposes of releasing the Blind Sheik....are enormous....

4. I would think that says that the Al Queda group is working on behalf of the Muslim Brotherhood and they are tightly connected.

Watched the Special report by Brett Baer...(missed first 5 + minutes) ....didn't catch any new details.

Went back to the Football Game...Denver is looking good.

The switched back to Fox,...Huckabee had Kathren Harris on and she had som new specifics on why Stephens dared to go to Benghazi.

Mentioned a ship from Libya (Benghazi) had docked in Turkey Sept 6 carrying Weapons and Manpads ( to remove them from being acquired by militants in Benghazi. The meetin of the Turkey diplomat may have been related to that.

I think Fox is treading carefully ....but she implied that she thought more details would come out.

Maybe expecting more from a leaking bureaucracy.

Still not touching just what the CIA was doing there beyond listening.

I believe that little tidbit has already been pretty much established. That is. There was a secret operation aimed at rounding up as many of the various weapons in question in Libya, the small group could arrange, then provide the way for them to end up getting in the hands of the Turks, so they could then hand em out to the goons in Syria to shot down the Syrian aircraft.
In any case. Fox will keep on the mark. The whole mess will be fully exposed in due time.
Much already has come out. Issa and crew as well as the upcoming Senate version of the inquiry are not going to let the Commies in the White Hut get away with this total dis-honorable travesty.

The Left is parsing the idiotic phrasing of 2 sentences by Akin and Mourdock in such a way to agitate women to benefit the jackass.

The Left won’t cover the Benghazi story that at least paints a picture of gross Admin negligence.

I disagree slightly.

Could we have inserted Seals in time to save Smith and Stevens? No.

Could we have had Seals there in time to better defend the Annex, take out the mortar position, etc.? Yes.

Eric Nordstrom, the former supervisory RSO in Tripoli, gave some rather devastating testimony before Congress. It took a tremendous amount of courage to make such statements in public. People who don't work or have never worked in the government bureaucracy don't appreciate what it took for him to say what he said.

I would disagree only in that there can be circumstances where one is working for a corporation or even a small business where it also can take tremendous courage to stand up for the truth or what is right.

That is in no way intended to diminish Eric Nordstom's testimony. I stayed up late one, er, morning, and watched that entire hearing. My jaw was on the floor, during parts of it. And while I by no means want to take away from what others, especially Tyrone Woods father have been saying, Norstrom's words that he felt in being rebuffed in his requests for more security, "The Taliban was in the house" are devastating, and need to be repeated MANY times.

One other thing that I wish someone could have discussed more fully on the talk shows, or even as this progresses (on Fox?), is that there are possibly a large number of MANPAD missiles in AQ and affiliated groups hands. Even a diminished AQ could wreak utter havoc with them in coming months. And AQ is not looking so diminished, these days.

I realize McCain can’t touch this with a 10 mile pole, but others could.

I posted a whole sermon about this last week but—

The reason I entertain the possibility that this was a kidnapping operation gone bad (that originated in the White House) is precisely BECAUSE Obama is pathologically political (like all Bolsheviks).

If it was all organic action hitting in realtime it would have been likely that Obama would have seen the political upside right away—since that’s all he EVER sees.

But if the political upside was already linked to a kidnapping, and Woods and Doherty were interfering, then you can follow the pathology of a stand down order, no air support, the eventual “video” coverup, etc.

I’m not saying it definitely WAS a plot, conspiracy, etc. I’m saying the misaligned lies told since point to something more going on in Banghazi on 9/11.

Would they create the Egyptian riots as cover and already have their video excuse in the bag waiting for this kidnapping? They would then have a reason to negotiate for the Blind sheik.

You could do most of it from the air and not risk personnel needlessly. We already had people on the ground painting the targets, i.e., the mortar.

The bottomline is that we could have intervened to protect our people and didn't. The means are not really the issue.

I can only give my own perspective having worked for the USG for 36 years and for the State Department for 28 of those years. What Nordstrom did is truly extraordinary in that world and he will no doubt suffer the consequences, which will be meted out very quietly and slowly. If Romney is elected, he could be given a position elsewhere. If Obama is reelected, someone in the Rep House leadership should help him find a spot in government or outside of it.
