If true, I salute him. He did the right thing. When the commander in chief is insane, you have to do what is right. that his next-in-line, Rodriguez, was all too eager to NOT do the right thing is disturbing.
If this is true, everyone under his command now knows what a piece of sh!t he is.
ABC has a pretty good show called Last Resort about just such a scenario. A boomer skipper refused a fire order on Pakistan. Pretty good stuff but I really think (speaking as an ex-COB) they should have hired better background researchers on submarine operations.
