WASHINGTON The Navy said Saturday it is replacing the admiral in command of an aircraft carrier strike group in the Middle East, pending the outcome of an internal investigation into undisclosed allegations of inappropriate judgment.
Rear Adm. Charles M. Gaouette is being sent back to the USS John C. Stennis' home port at Bremerton, Wash., in what the Navy called a temporary reassignment.

OOPS - sorry Lady Jag, I missed the credit to you for that graphic. Travis McGee did credit you every time he posted it - I just got in a hurry and missed it.
Sorry again.
You are obviously truly gifted with graphics.
Thanks, and keep up the good work.

Wow, like Stalin in 1938.
Gen Ham and Adm. Charles M. Gaouette should be called in front of the Congress. This is getting pretty fishy.
“The information I heard today was that General Ham as head of Africom received the same e-mails the White House received requesting help/support as the attack was taking place. General Ham immediately had a rapid response unit ready and communicated to the Pentagon that he had a unit ready.
General Ham then received the order to stand down. His response was to screw it, he was going to help anyhow. Within 30 seconds to a minute after making the move to respond, his second in command apprehended General Ham and told him that he was now relieved of his command.”
THIS NEEDS TO BE MADE PUBLIC.
If that was why, then it was a very lame reason.
I think it was just a cowardly knee-jerk political impulse which has now backfired on him.
OTOH, it may have been a sinisterly calculated act to shame and belittle the USA even more.
I have trouble deciding if this guy, FUBO, is just grossly incompetent, or calculatingly evil. It’s definitely one or the other, IMO.
I’m beginning to think everything he does is intentional.
Just now had time to read some of that thread you linked to:
Miramar fighter jets deployed in secret to Mideast
( http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2951129/posts )
Very scary stuff. No idea what this means, afraid to speculate.
Maybe we’ll get more info in a few hours (or days).
General Ham needs to call a press conference and explain exactly what happened. BEFORE Nov 6. Otherwise what was the point?
There’s a dozen or more faces that need to be added to that graphic.
Bret Baier has tweeted information that seems to support this thread.
All hell is about to break loose.
Nice graphic. Thank you.
BTW: Thanks...
Thanks for the correction.
I did catch my mistake and posted an apology to Lady Jag and Travis McGee, but I forgot to ping you to that post, also. Here’s the link:

Thanks again for spotting that. I always want to give credit where it is due.

Can you re-post Brett Bairs Tweets please?
Just did the relevant one...will continue to follow...He hasn’t be posting much today.
I am not sure this has anything to do with Benghazi but I could be wrong for sure. The article states that the USS Stennis did nt get to middle east until Oct. 17th? There are rumors going around though that sound very plausible.
Different from the Gen. Ham situation.
The USS Stinson operates in 5th Fleet and was no where near Libya, which is in North Africa on the Mediterranean where the 6th Fleet operates.
The Adm. was probably removed from duty for some other reason, such as accusations of improper sexual conduct or making some comments about the gays that are now out of the closet.

Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta spoke to more than 2,000 sailors on the USS John C. Stennis prior to their deployment back to the Middle East.

The Stennis leaves on Monday.
Panetta recognized their quick turnaround back to the Middle East.
“I know it can be tough, but it’s also something that makes us very proud,” he said.
Talking with reporters after the event, Panetta said that the deployment “deals with a lot of threats in the Middle East right now” including Iran and the continuing turmoil in Syria.

Sailors: Early Deployment Tough, but Were Needed
By Karen Parrish
American Forces Press Service
NAVAL BASE KITSAP, Wash., Aug. 24, 2012 In July, the crew of the aircraft carrier USS John C. Stennis learned their ship would deploy four months earlier than planned, and to a different part of the world than expected. Less than two months later, they report theyre ready to go.
Defense Secretary Leon E. Panetta visited the ship this week to thank the sailors for their service and their extraordinary effort in preparing the ship. During his visit, some of the crew discussed with American Forces Press Service what their summer has involved.
Petty Officer 1st Class Alex Armour has spent 10 years in the Navy, with two on the Stennis. Armour took part in the ships last deployment, seven months in the Middle East, which ended in early March.
We went from place to place [for] port visits, he said, but we spent the majority of our time in the [Persian] Gulf.
Word of the next deployment - back to the Middle East — came in July, he said, while the ship was underway for training. Many of the sailors were anticipating the deployment that had been previously announced, which would have taken the Stennis carrier strike group to the Pacific later in the year, Armour added.
A lot of people had made plans; they werent planning on being out to sea [again] so quickly, he said. The turn-around was really quick for us. We had to qualify the carrier and the strike group once again; just all this stuff got crunched into a four-month period. And that, I know, weighed a lot of stress [on] the personnel on board, as well as the chain of command.

Rear Adm. Charles M. Gaouette commands Carrier Strike Group Three, the Stennis strike group. Gaouette put word on the deployment out to the crew as soon as he heard it last month, Harrell said.
We gathered on the ship we were underway at the time had an all-hands call, and the admiral addressed the crew, Harrell said, adding that the admirals main aim was to let everyone know what was coming so they could start to prepare.
The change in deployment date affected everything from supply timelines to stress management, he noted.
