Last night, Nightline did a story on the KKK in Tupelo, Mississippi. I only watched because of the locale: the state within I reside and call home.

Of course it was one sided and completely negative; made the head guy look ignorant, stupid, hateful, mad-as-he//, and uneducated, and ended with a black preacher. All well and good, save for the timing of this expose’.

I figured it had to do with this election and I see I’m right.

The KKK group or clan, had under 15-20 members and likely fewer. Admittedly, I wasn’t paying close attention, given my phone rang during the program.

From the silent movie “Birth of a Nation,” the KKK and its legacy has been misrepresented, not in the sense of the bigotry and racism it professes, but in its adherents’ allegiance.

Republicans, don’t subscribe to Klan theology. It was Democrats, who largely maintained southern power during the Klan’s heyday. What is left are racist cretins who don’t have a clue of who and what to be against that has caused all the reasons of which they are complaining.

I can only leave everyone here with this simple undeniable FACT.

Strom Thurmond has been widely denounced as being the most horrible racist, yet it has been proven he did father a child with a black house worker in his early years.

On the flip side of the coin, the Democrats most honoured bastion of the Constitution, US Senate rules of propriety and all that was a damned KKK Grand Kleagel, or whatever the the hell they’re called -— Senator Robert “Sheets” Byrd.

One is spoken of as a racist goddam biggot, and the other is excused (by Clinton) as “he had to do that to get elected in racist Virginia” [delivered with that devilish grin and a wink]...

Liberals, Democrats and the racist phobia have no genetic memory - only that which fits their current duplicitous ideology.

It’s a mercy they weren’t patrolling polling places dressed in faux military costumes and carrying billy clubs, in order to intimidate voters, isn’t it? Or gettng in front of media cameras, and with complete impunity, calling for the lynching of an innocent man (at least, presumably innocent until proven guilty of defending himself while white).
