A new video from the founders of a celebrated advertising agency features children of the future singing about the aftermath of a Mitt Romney presidency: A world where sick people are required to just die, the atmosphere is frying and oil fills the sea.
The children, who stare blankly at the camera throughout the video, even take pains to explicitly mention that they blame mom and dad for all those horrors.
The video from the founders of the advertising agency that came up with the celebrated tagline Got milk? and boasts clients like Cheetos, Netflix, the National Basketball Association and Nintendo asks viewers, What Would The Children Of The Future Say If We Let Them Down This November?
Watch:
The two minute 21 second video concludes with black and white text instructing: Dont let it happen vote.
The brains behind the video are Jeff Goodby and Rich Silverstein, the founders of Goodby Silverstein & Partners.
The idea was to have kids from the future sing about a world thats been defiled by usby their parents, Goodby told Co.Create, which reports that he is a registered lapsed Republican. It was meant to be accusatory in some way. Something to put it in the context of some day this decision will be an even bigger one than it appears today.
The video is not an official project of Goodby Silverstein & Partners, Co.Create reports.
Full lyrics:
Imagine an America
Where strip mines are fun and free
Where gays can be fixed
And sick people just die
And oil fills the sea
We dont have to pay for freeways!
Our schools are good enough
Give us endless wars
On foreign shores
And lots of Chinese stuff
Were the children of the future
American through and through
But something happened to our country
And were kinda blaming you
We havent killed all the polar bears
But its not for lack of trying
Big Bird is sacked
The Earth is cracked
And the atmosphere is frying
Congress went home early
They did their best we know
You cant cut spending
With elections pending
Unless its welfare dough
Were the children of the future
American through and through
But something happened to our country
And were kinda blaming you
Find a park that is still open
And take a breath of poison air
They foreclosed your place
To build a weapon in space
But you can write off your au pair
Its a little awkward to tell you
But you left us holding the bag
When we look around
The place is all dumbed down
And the long terms kind of a drag
Were the children of the future
American through and through
But something happened to our country
And yeah, were blaming you
You did your best
You failed the test
Mom and Dad
Were blaming you!
Goodby Silverstein & Partners did not immediately respond to request for comment.
Here is a little note to the assholes Goodby and Silverstein...
Imagine an America Where strip mines are fun and free
They're not fun, and definitely not free, assholes.
Where gays can be fixed
Maybe one day when we find out the cause of their abnormal behavior, assholes.
And sick people just die
You wanted 0bamacare, assholes.
And oil fills the sea
Oil seeps up through the seas in large quantities now, assholes.
I could go on...
5.56mm
it’s all for the chillrun...
(the part about fixing gays didn’t sound too bad though)
Just like Cambodia where children were taught to blame their parents for all of their countries ills and then to turn them in to the authorities.
They left out words about white racism and tea party lynch mobs that go after Blacks and “messicans”.
I was thinking that if obama was indeed elected the future for our children will be the world of “The Hunger Games”.
“Im looking for a scorched earth if he loses.”
Do you think another “Rodney King” type riot...except in ghetto areas around the country?
liberalism is a mental illness and this is some real proof
If your mom(s) and/or dad(s) allowed you to be in this video - it's safe to assume their in the hive with you.
Zombie Kids Ad Ping.
For twenty years I have listened to such garbage from environmental groups. People in natural resource industries - loggers, small family farmers, cattlemen, gold miners, are all demonized on a regular basis. Even their kids come home from school with the eco-nazi message. It disheartens me when I read such stuff on a regualr basis in the Chronicle or the L.A Times.
We hear hear about loggers clearcutting the (now heavily overstocked forests,) farmers taking water from fish, livestock standing in the way of freedom for wolves. We no longer hear about suction dredge gold miners - they outlawed that industry in CA. Hound hunting of bears is now outlawed. The Dept. of Fish and Game is now the Dept. of Fish and Wildlife - so much for hunting and fishing.
The average age of a farmer is in their late 50s. A cattleman in his sixties. I predict that if liberals win, the children will be standing there nude - (without fiber,) emaciated (without food and water) and with their standard of living plummeted below that of a third world country as we cannot harvest our own oil, mineral and natural resources. In order to keep our planet pure, about 3/4 of those children will be gone to maintain the new sustainable primitive carrying capacity of America.
Quite a contrast between that one and the little dead-eyed hostages ratting on their parents, isn't it?

Then it says:

Do they really think that will keep the crap off of their agency? Knowing what they have created, why would any America-loving business person steer any business at all to an America-hating, Communist-infested agency such as Goodby Silverstein & Partners?
No more than any of them would proudly commission a film by the likes of Leni Riefenstahl.
You just can't wash that kind of stink away.
Like day & night; should hit anyone who sees them together, like a 2x4 in the back of the head.
That actually happened under Obama, and he blocked efforts to stop it.
If Obama wins, they need to remove the black and poor children form the ad.
