I’m for having every voter dip their finger in indelible ink, which would last 30 days before coming off, to accommodate the early voters as well. If dipped in bleach, it would set for another 30 days:)
I’d be down for requiring a thumb print on every ballot and the last 4 digits of a verified social security number on each ballot. This is AFTER requiring a photo i.d. to even get a ballot in the first place.
Make the security stringent and it makes the vote valuable. Easily gotten benefits (I know there’s a better word that can be substituted but my brain’s malfunctioning today) aren’t treated as dearly as those that are earned through legitimate effort.
