How likely is it that the Predator would have hellfires that could have hit the target?

A Predator drone, as opposed to any other drone, would *BY DEFINITION* be armed with Hellfires. *THAT* is what makes a Predator a Predator.

That said, I am unsure if the drone/drones which were overhead at Benghazi were actually Predators, or not. Many folks have gotten into the habit of calling *any* US UAV (drone) a Predator, when that may not actually be the case...

Thanks for that information. I’m guilty as charged but won’t make that mistake again now that I understand.

What I don’t understand is what they thought they had to lose - either by taking out the fire being lobbed at the CIA annex, or by doing something to disperse the crowd there, in the middle of the night. It’s not like there was going to be a protest in the middle of the night, where people not part of the original attack would join in. If bystander Libyans were going to pile on they would have done it by the time the CIA annex was attacked and defended by the SEALs. And if military intervention took out the fire being received at the CIA annex they could have evacuated the 30 people who were there and then there wouldn’t be any more American assets for these terrorists to threaten.

What am I missing here?
