An interesting tidbit I came across is that the group which carried out the attack included Ansar al Sharia and Ansar al Shariah was, before 9/11, in full control of a hospital in Benghazi.
News reports said the ambassador had been taken to a hospital in Benghazi where doctors used his cell phone to call US officials. The assumption made by the press was that he was taken to the hospital for treatment, but what if this hospital was the same one used as headquarters by Ansar al Sharia?
How familiar are you with the protocols of the SF? It sure seemed to me that our fellow FReeper who phoned in to Rush knew what he was saying. He has the credentials.

The comment seems to refer to what, I too, remember seeing:
My Husband is a minister, the day after Ambassador Stevens was killed he was searching middle eastern news sites, he ended up coming across the video of Ambassador Stevens beating and rape. Had we not been so horrified perhaps we could have retained more proof. I do have screen shots of the page proving there was a video of the rape that youtube removed. I can easily provide enough proof to back up every other word this author says too.

What I don’t get about the “lasing the targets” bit is the fact that if they were lighting up targets, and yet nobody pulled the trigger, wouldn’t that mean the order to not engage came down in the minutes before the lasing took place? Almost simultaneously, which is unlikely? Please enlighten if you know more.
Obammie the Commie’s intelligence and ability is way, way over-rated. The man receives 100x more respect than he has ever earned and deserves.
But I don’t believe this was incompetence. I believe this was a conscious decision coming from two characteristics of this POS:
1. He didn’t want to engage in any military fighting this close to the election. He ran as the “America is guilty of acting like a cowboy in international affairs. We are a bully. We need to be stopped.” He didn’t want to lose the leftist voters.
2. He hates America and especially America’s military for the above reason (he is one of those leftists). So he has no trouble allowing a third-world country to kick America’s ass once in a while as a form of “national penance.” Remember, he said for any of us to be “saved” in a religious sense that the entire nation as a whole needed to be saved.
As part of that “national penance, he crucified those Americans when they were under attack and most needed to have a Commander in Chief who had their back.
His campaign’s recent ineptitude may be a sign that he’s had enough, and thinks that exile in his new Oahu mansion may protect him from prosecution (narcissistic wishful thinking).
