This whole thing just smells extremely bad.
It almost seems as if they were LETTING this happen for some reason. It makes me wonder if the stories about them kidnapping Stevens to exchange for the Blind Sheik are true. What other reason would they have to tell the security people to stand down?
The thing that got me when I read Griffin’s report was that they not only had lasers marking where the fire was coming from - they were sending in coordinates! Surely we have the power to hit those coordinates remotely, or from a drone. And we already had at least one drone there - if not 2, depending on the timing. Panetta talking about not being able to send in troops is disingenuous. Everything we did in Libya to bring down Ghadaffi was done by drone, and we had at least one drone there after the first hour. And it doesn’t work to say that we couldn’t send in anything across the Libyan border either, because if that was going to stop us it should have stopped our drone as well.
I am livid. Obama needs to have his sorry rear end dragged into jail RIGHT NOW. We’ve known all along that he was a foreign enemy combatant who was destroying the Constitution and the rule of law, but what’s happened now is undeniably treason and it is not some poo-pooh insignificant thing. This is an assault on everything our military stands for.
God bless the families of these men who defied the treasonous orders they were given, and may the rest of us “take up the quarrel with the foe. To (us) from failing hands they(’ve thrown) the torch; be (ours) to hold it high. If (we) break faith with those who die (they) shall not sleep, though poppies blow in Flander’s Fields.”
Veterans Day this year will mean even more than usual, and if we truly value our veterans, Obama has got to go - in chains, to prison.
