Top Romney aide Sununu suggests Powell endorsed Obama because he’s black

John Sununu, a top adviser to Mitt Romneys presidential campaign, suggested Thursday that Colin Powell endorsed President Obama because both men are African-American.
Asked Thursday on CNN about Powells endorsement, Sununu said the endorsement might be for reasons other than policy.
Frankly, when you take a look at Colin Powell, you have to wonder whether thats an endorsement based on issues or whether hes got a slightly different reason for preferring President Obama, Sununu said. Asked what those might be, Sununu pointed to race.
Well, I think when you have somebody of your own race that youre proud of being president of the United States, I applaud Colin for standing with him, Sununu said.

Dang right it is. Unless Powell has Ben faking all these years. Either is a possibility.

I have enjoyed Sununu’s candor this election cycle. He’s been unafraid to challenge the MSM.

Powell is no different than Rev. Wright or Al Sharpton.

COLIN POWELL IS JUST ANOTHER ANGRY BLACK MAN. Just like the prez. His government career is over and expressing his opinion won’t cost him anything. He’s just getting even.

Sununu will of course be severely disparaged for simply telling the truth. Political correctness is a lie that is destroying America. Obama is a vapid failure. the truth be told, he is a vapid African-American failure.

But Colin Powell only voted for Obama because of the issues...that’s why he wept when Obama was elected.

WOW Breaking news..Powell endorsed Obama because he’s black yeah there’s a shocking development LOL..of course that’s why he endorsed him, its the same reason why he endorsed him in 2008..the other BS he spews is just that, BS..its ALL because of race
To: Arthurio
Duh. Everyone knows Powell is voting for Obama’s Black half.
To: Arthurio
96% of blacks voted for Obama in 2008....
That is unheard of unanimity in the history of US elections by any ethnic group/voting block/religion/national origin etc.
Colin does not wish to be in the 4% minority who probably made an error in marking the ballot.

“Duh. Everyone knows Powell is voting for Obamas Black half.”
Exactly right. I saw Gov. Sununu on Hannity tonight and he said he thought Colon Bowel was “doubling down” on his vote in 2008.
Colon is the perfect example of political correctness run amok. Every position he held starting with being made a Colonel over much better candidates has been because of affirmative action, according to much higher ranked Army officers. In politics you can thank the Bushes for pushing along his rise to power.

I remember back in 1989 when I was 23 (dang, that's half a lifetime ago for me, I'm 46), I was down at my aunt's place in Round Rock, TX (near Austin). I was watching the news and it was when President Bush, the father, appointed him to head the Joint Chiefs. Being the cynical guy I am, even then I was, I turned to my mother and aunt, "most likely an affirmative action pick." Mom and Aunt Jean chuckled in agreement. Maybe he did well in Gulf War I, but his actions from 1996 to now, seem to reinforce my original 1989 suspicions. I don't like to think that way, but I know things work that way a lot. Also, I know it makes me uncomfortable to say this but it seems so true that Powell is basing his vote on race over the issues.
Heck, a co-worker of mine, who is Black, did admit voting for Obama because of that reason. I wasn't mad at all, although I don't like that logic or hear of it, at least the person was truthful. I admire one that tells the truth, even though I don't want to hear it nor even if I don't agree with the logical thought process in his decision making since it is his right to do so.
When it comes to stereotypes, I admit that there are some truths to them, some only a little, some a lot, some in between. I do see the need to overcome them. There is a stereotype where many Blacks did vote on the basis of race and all this does it make it harder to prove the stereotype wrong. Seeing things like this make it harder to overcome such stereotypes.
Obama healing the divisions between us, I thin, as my former boss put it, he set race relations back to 1970 in many cases.
