So.... Colin Powell, fulminating about the economy (as if he is an expert on that!) and avoiding all discussion of the incompetence and dishonesty of the Obama administration's handling of Libya, has endorsed Barack Obama again. Gee, what a surprise. This is a man still playing out his personal picque at some imagined sleights during the administration of Bush 43.

But this is a man without honor....

Nobody should give a fig about today's endorsement. Nobody.

In 2000 he said he would serve as Secretary of State under Bush or Gore. It was obvious then that he was only for himself and did not have any principles or commitment to any person or party...just his own sorry self.

Colin Bowel should change the party on his voter registration to democRAT. He surely is not a Republican.

Having said that, nobody is going to change their vote because of him.

Exactly. He was the first high-ranking brass I recall that didn’t impress me as a warrior, but that seemed simply a bureaucrat and politician. I could be wrong about that, though - he never really sparked my admiration enough to pay him all that much attention.

Perhaps, if Ambassador Stevens had been black; might have generated more attention/outrage from Powell. What DOES it take? Am sure he values his uniform and his medals; his career. . .

Meantime; why is he even a Republican?

I served under him while he was the 2nd Brigade Commander with the 101st. He wrote me a letter of recommendation that enabled me to receive an Active Duty ROTC scholarship. Until 2008 when he announced his support for Obama I worshipped the ground he walked on. At that time I threatened to burn the letter but my wife hid it on me. With his second endorsement of Obama I have now lost total respect for the man. My wife hid the letter again. But if I can find it I will burn it.

I spent 8 years in AF Project Checkmate. It was the planning cell for Air Campaign for Desert Storm. Because it wasn’t Joint, Powell asked the Air Force Chief of Staff to disband it, which he did.

I gave this man a very slim benefit of the doubt when he supported BO back in 2008 but this revelation shows me that even I can be wrong at times.......

Why is he not excommunicated, as it were, from the Republican Party for doing this evil deed 2 times in a row? Any Republican that votes for Davis (probably his real name from his real biological father; but who knows? who is this ‘man’?) should leave the Republican Party.
