There are plenty of disgruntled Democrats who don’t like the radical Marxist Left or who abandon some of their old philosophies while still not embracing conservative.
There are Lyndon LaRouche Democrats who broke when the DNC went (post-68) New Democrat as well as scores of RINOs.
Takes ignorance or a lot of fortitude to ignore the loons like Shelia Jackson Lee in the Democrat Party and not speak out. Democrats have embraced the Occupantloads but police on the beat still have to deal with them. Likewise, there are those who see the lousy standards of those working in the public sector. This cop bitched that he’d have to spend 15 more years in NYC (I guess to get his full benefits). Doesn’t sound like someone who is THAT against “the system”.

For some reason I was thinking it was related to him having a young daughter and perhaps a custody thing. What you said makes more sense. Of course the whole thing does not really make a lot of sense. Never met anyone openly admitting to being a cannibal.
