JAY LENO: When you help your daughters with their homework, is there a subject you struggle with?
PRESIDENT OBAMA: Well, the math stuff I was fine with up until 7th grade. But Malia is now a freshman in High School and I'm pretty lost. It's tough. Fortunately, they are great students on their own. And if something doesn't work I'll call over to the Department of Energy to see if they have a physicist to come over!

That explains a lot of his approach to spending and budgeting.
He is not smarter than a 5th grader in actuality.
That explains his SAT 1317 score. The question is how he got into any of the schools with such low score. Remember he is genius.
I guess he never learned the First Rule of Holes...
How many hours does a candidate have to spend in each of the 57 states to give each state equal time. It is a leap year.
Romney campaign and the SuperPACs need to put that soundbite into an ad IMMEDIATELY!!!
Then how did he graduate from High School?
Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you grade inflation exhibit “A”.
It’s all the nation’s fault. If we had enough teachers, he would have been a math genius.
When you pull his string, he says “Math is hard”
Well, well, another reason to get rid of affirmative action.
1317 out of 1600 is pretty good.
Do you have a reference for Obama’s SAT scores? At the time he graduated it would have been the pre-adjusted score, so it was not a bad score. It certainly would not have got him into an Ivy League school without some other special consideration - athlete, musician, artist, legacy, AA, etc.
Wrong. He visited 57, three more to go, so there must be sixty states.
One for every Senator needed to stop a Philly buster?
I didn’t know his SAT score is out there - where did you find it?
Wonder why it isn’t sealed along with everything else - maybe because it’s a decent score?
He’s actually bragging. Too many of our entertainers, especially males, subtly express pride at their ignorance of technical things, how things work, etc.
Then how in the hell did he manage to graduate high school let alone attend and graduate college????
I hate defending this guy.....but—SAT scores were done differently back then. A 1300 would have been considered a good score. Certainly good enough to get into Occidental.
But, that is the only good thing I will say.
I guess I am defending my own 1200 from the same era. And I have scored at genius levels on IQ tests. I am such a disappointment to my mother.
