Here they come again. California unions are once again meddling in Arizona politics on behalf of illegal aliens, and against the interests of their own American workers. The deceptively-named "Campaign For Arizonas Future" - which was funded by the national mega-labor unions AFL-CIO and UNITE HERE is spending millions to try and defeat Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio.
The group, which calls its campaign "Adios Arpaio", is mostly comprised of the same Los Angeles-based activists which protested in 2010 after the passage of S.B. 1070. They claim to have registered over 36,000 - mostly Hispanics - in Maricopa County, AZ to vote against the popular Sheriff, who is the nation's most prominent symbol in the fight against illegal immigration.
This campaign is part of a wave of big-dollar national efforts to defeat Sheriff Joe, and may derive much of its funding from the $10 million that left-wing billionaire George Soros pledged earlier this year to defeat Arpaio. Another recipient for his funds is apparently the new anti-Arpaio PAC "Citizens for Professional Law Enforcement" which has been running and increasing number of ads targeting Sheriff Joe with lies about "racial profiling" and fraudulent accusations about sex crimes prosecutions.
In addition, Joe has taken a hit from a ridiculously-biased new ABC News series called "Arpaio Watch", which smears the Sheriff with propaganda from an open-borders activists posing as a journalist.
The goal of all these attacks is clear: defeat a man whose department apprehends an astounding 25% of all illegal aliens captured in the entire U.S. every year; and scare other politicians out of enacting tough immigration laws for fear of suffering the same fate as Sheriff Joe.
And the attacks are taking a toll: Sheriff Joe faces the toughest race of his life: a recent poll shows his opponent has narrowed the margin to only 4 percentage points.
Why are the unions targeting Joe? To ensure the free and unfettered flow of illegal alien workers into the United States. The big question is: where are the rank and file union workers to stand up to their bosses, whose support of illegal alien laborers hurts them severely?
By championing illegal aliens, unions harm the working-class Americans they purport to represent. In September, 12.8 million Americans were officially unemployed. Simultaneously, about 8 million illegal aliens held U.S. jobs, the Federation for American Immigration Reform estimates.
Vernon M. Briggs Jr., professor emeritus of Cornell University, recently estimated that 80-plus percent of those illegal aliens possess a high school education or less. Most, then, compete for the kinds of jobs traditionally held by lower-skilled, less educated and less experienced Americans the very class of Americans unions were created to serve.
According to the Pew Hispanic Center, illegal aliens concentrate in fields such as building maintenance and groundskeeping, where they recently have made up 19 percent of the workforce; construction (17%); and food services (12%). Illegals taking these jobs has worsened the unemployment rates of, among other Americans, blacks (14.1 % unemployment), U.S.-born Hispanics with no education beyond high school (23.3%) and 18-to-24-year-old male veterans (29.1 %).
And not only do illegal alien workers hurt union workers more than the average American worker, but the unions defy their rank and file by advocating open-borders policies.
A 2010 Zogby poll found 37 percent of members of union households strongly opposed while just 19 percent strongly supported allowing illegal immigrants to stay here legally and be put on a path to citizenship. And 62% of union households strongly supported reducing the illegal immigrant population by enforcing existing immigration laws.
It is critical that the people of Arizona stand with Sheriff Joe as he faces this unprecedented onslaught. It is also imperative that all Americans support Joe as well (and you can donate here). Since 80% of those illegals he captures were headed for other states, Sheriff Joe doesn't just keep illegal alien rapists, robbers, gangbangers and identity thieves out of Arizona he also keeps criminals from threatening cities and towns across America.
But it is also imperative for the union rank and file who are most hurt by the actions of their bosses to stand up and demand they stop supporting illegal alien foreign laborers over American union workers - and let Sheriff Joe continue to do his job enforcing the law.
If you have friends or family who are union workers, share this with them, and urge them to stand against their leadership on this issue.
Please stand With Sheriff Joe in his hour of need...
Along with Soros who should have been arrested and tried for treason a long time ago.
With many corporations planning to flee CA, it looks as though the union dim bulbs would save their money for the thousands who will be laid off shortly. But of course, they are hoping that Obama will be re-elected and will throw more of Bernanke’s shrinking dollars their way.

"Penzone supporters believe Stauffer will split the anti-Arpaio vote enough to hand the sheriff an unprecedented sixth term in office.
Its important to note that Penzone's campaign paid the Democratic-leaning Switchboard Communications to conduct the survey.
Still, the numbers show the race closing. Last month the same firm released a poll showing Arpaio holding a slightly larger lead over Penzone.
That poll put Arpaio at 44.5 percent and Penzone at 39 percent, meaning Penzone picked up 1 point over the past month.
However, the authors of today's poll make a point to say they questioned more Republicans. But Chad Willems, Arpaio's top political handler, isn't taking the poll seriously.
"This is just another poll manufactured by the Penzone campaign to create the illusion that he has some sort of momentum heading into the early voting period of the campaign," he said. "

Arpaio is going to send Soros and the rest of the Communists packing when he wins by a comfortable margin.
“Unions piss millions into the wind
Joe wins.
Details at 11.....” LOL
The labor unions support the crims. Why am I not surprised!
They’re wasting their money. Arpaio has long had sky high approval ratings in Arizona. However, if they want to spend millions in Arizona, that is money they can’t spend elsewhere.
And other out of state groups and individuals are pouring large sums of money into Arpaio’s campaign as well.
Mitt should appoint him Attorney General!
The problem is that too many think as you do. The same was said about Russell Pearce, and they took him and several others out. the same crew is behind this effort, and 3 polls now show Arpaio up by now more than 6 pts. WAY too close given how much Soros is prepared to spend there in the next 2 weeks. Joe needs help.

I didn’t say that Joe doesn’t need support, just that he is strongly favored. Russell Pearce was relatively much weaker in his district, and much poorer, whereas his opponent had serious financial backing.
