One thing to keep in mind is that a lot more men than women were watching baseball and football this evening.
That means less men watching the debate. Since Romney always polls better with men than women, that is going to skew these poll numbers a bit.
Mitt knew that and strategized accordingly. He went big and nice. Obama didn't consider that and went Biden. Makes me wonder whether sending Lindsey Graham to FNS yesterday to go ballistic on Libya was planned to push Obama in this direction. Of course Mitt already has most of the men wrapped up. How this debate polls with women will be interesting.
