Wow. Couldn't believe my eyes when I woke up this am and saw this in the local paper.

Like so many others, we were captivated by the Illinois senator's soaring rhetoric and energized by his promise to move American politics beyond partisan gridlock and into an era of hope and change. In other words, you were gullible morons.

Newspapers have no business endorsing candidates.
The job of the media is to tell us what happened and then sit down and shut up.
The Commercial Appeal (memphis TN) endorsed John Kerry in 2004the and promptly lost me as a subscriber.

Don’t get your hopes too high, it’s still not election day. My prediction is that the Chronicle gets word that Romney didn’t pay a parking ticket in 1987 and they flip back to Obama.

Not that this endorsement makes or breaks the outcome of the winner of the presidential race in Texas but it is interesting to read their admittance of a poor endorsement back in 2008.

The Chronicle's backing of Barack Obama in 2008 broke a 44-year string of endorsing Republican candidates for president. Like so many others, we were captivated by the Illinois senator's soaring rhetoric and energized by his promise to move American politics beyond partisan gridlock and into an era of hope and change. I ain't buying their line of Shineola.
And their support of LBJ was a business agreement between the paper and the LBJ administration. He held a letter from them that they would only give him positive press in exchange for permitting a bank merger in Texas go through.
Stay classy Comical.

I do not remember the Houston Comical always endorsing Republicans for president before obama. I feel certain that they endorsed clinton twice. Beyond that I don't know.
