Amen to that. We in Washington County are working on getting every vote we can and we will see some movement to counter the Portland machine. He wins Oregon and it is over since neither side is spending money here.

And, if it is true that the CIA has as its motto, "The truth will set you free", don't tell me that God doesn't have a wonderful, and in this case very wry, sense of humor!
It doesn’t have to be true, just the rumor is sufficient. The Israeli Ambassador to the US has already said the report was news to him.
Someone like Plouffe must have leaked this story to the NYT to help Obama before the debate Monday night. What the WH official must have overlooked is that we already have a multilateral forum for these negotiations, the P5+1. The US going it alone would piss off our allies who are participating with us in the sanctions. And if Israel was unaware of such talks, they have every right to be pissed.
Now it appears the Administration is walking this back. Either the NYT made this story up or it is being thrown under the bus. Either way, it is not good for Obama. I hope it comes up tomorrow night.
Why didn’t anyone in the Obama Administration just call the Libyan Government and tell them to get protection for our Ambassador and Embassy immediately?
To expect the Libyan police to protect a US Ambassador is idiotic. You don’t expect the British police to protect our Ambassadors and underlines their foolishness you would leave an American there as a target. It was a death sentence.
Only two tax overhaul proposals, Steve Forbes' proposed flat tax from 1996 and the FairTax income tax replacement, do this. By no longer taxing bank accounts and investments, that right there makes it possible for Americans to create private nest eggs for retirement and medical bills completely tax-free, which means a far higher savings and investment rate, both good for the country. That means from now on, there will be dramatically lower demand for Social Security and Medicare, since in the future they have a big nest egg for retirement and elderly medical bills. And it also means there is way less incentive to "offshore" millions of jobs, thousands of factories, hundreds of corporate headquarters or (by some estimates) $15 TRILLION in liquid assets for tax avoidance reasons.
People forget that Rep. Paul Ryan was in intern at the Empower America organization at the middle of the 1990's, the same time when Steve Forbes was heading that group and was formulating the flat tax he proposed in 1996. As such, Ryan very well know about the tax reform proposal, if not having a hand in creating it. This is why I think the Romney campaign has yet to play this trump card, because they don't need it as the Romney campaign is watching the Obama re-election campaign implode by itself anyway.
Romney himself has already hinted that we will see dramatic changes to the income tax code if he wins the Presidency; it is not a far-fetched idea that some variant of the original 1996 flat tax proposal is part of that change.

The most likely explanation is that Obama thought, while the attack was happening, that it might really be an angry protest about an offense to Muslim sensibilities; and he shrank from using the US military to hit back at offended Muslims. In effect that would have been “being at war with Islam;” the very last thing he wants.
If indeed it had turned out to be offended Muslims, there’d have been similar attacks all over the world, not two months before the election. Somebody somewhere would have died, possibly somebody of high profile. Obama’s Arab Spring would have been reset to Fall.
In other words a 100% political decision. What’s good for Obama.

They likely went to the safe house as an evacuation location and the President ordered the mission aborted. He ordered their deaths and someone made up the video cover story. This needs to be exposed as why these Americans died and why.
