Sometimes all it takes is one more tiny raindrop on a soaked terrain to trigger a mudslide that brings the entire mountainside down on your head.
Watching Barack Obama, at last nights Al Smith Dinner all alone like a bachelor as he was mercilessly mocked by host Al Smith IV (President Obama, its never good when your opponent has produced more sons than you have jobs.) and guest Mitt Romney (As President Obama surveys the Waldorf banquet room, with everyone in white tie and finery, you have to wonder what hes thinking: so little time, so much to redistribute.) we could not help but wonder if David Axelrod has had the talk with Barack and Michelle Obama.
The talk is that conversation between campaign manager and candidate, typically held on the Monday before election day, when the campaign manager says its over. Perhaps that explains why Michelles scowl face was not at hubbys side last night. Why bother with them, why talk with them, why take their barbs, when we are going to lose?

Was there ever an explanation as to why FLOTUS was not in attendance at the dinner?
Should have also added the quote at the end of this piece:
“Bachelor Obama, walking down the lonely road, will soon find the mountain did not come to Mohammad, the mountain fell on him. Four years of boobery and treachery has been enough. Its time for a change.”
Nobody wanted her there?
lol - never thought of that.
Romney “killed” at the dinner.. his jokes were very much better than Obamas.. Must be Dennis Miller who has been and probably was helping him.. The jokes seemed to be “Millerized” completely..
It takes serious talent to write jokes that well aimed and just subtle enough but current, intellectual and not mean.. Millers expertise and talent.. Romneys performance had to be Millerized.. Go DENNIS... mock the Obamaoids like a skit in “Princess Bride”..
Miller is a comedic genius. And I do mean genius.
What was the side effect, if any, of the fatass black trash harpy (enjoying the sound of that phrase, heh heh) not showing?
I liked this Romney quip the best - “this has been presented by the letter O and the number 16 trillion’
Implying that the whole Obama administration has been one long infantile episode of Sesame Street.
I doubt if "the talk" has taken place yet. Obama is not going to give up that easily. There is still a little over two weeks left until election day - plenty of time for some last minute dirty tricks to try to take down Romney.
Those Hillary fans are not gonna ever forgive the guy, huh.
“Don’t worry, I’m not a Hillary fan.”
Nor am I, but sometimes the enemy of your enemy can be your friend. That’s actually a pretty good website and has some very spot on criticism of the won.
One wonders how long it’s been since Michele got any.
“I doubt if “the talk” has taken place yet.”
I doubt it and wouldn’t be surprised if it never happens. Moochelle gets it, though, even if barky doesn’t.
Any what, Big Bird?
“One wonders how long its been since Michele got any.”
Y’know, we shouldn’t just wonder about this. We should consult an expert.
Lazamataz?
I found it ironic that one of Romney's jokes was about campaign trail stresses and how he has Ann to help him relax, and 0 has Bill Clinton. Too funny.
