“Talking points” prepared by the CIA on Sept. 15, the same day that Rice taped three television appearances, support her description of the Sept. 11 attack on the U.S. Consulate as a reaction to Arab anger about an anti-Muslim video prepared in the United States. According to the CIA account, “The currently available information suggests that the demonstrations in Benghazi were spontaneously inspired by the protests at the U.S. Embassy in Cairo and evolved into a direct assault against the U.S. Consulate and subsequently its annex. There are indications that extremists participated in the violent demonstrations.”
The CIA document went on: “This assessment may change as additional information is collected and analyzed and as currently available information continues to be evaluated.” This may sound like self-protective boilerplate, but it reflects the analysts’ genuine problem interpreting fragments of intercepted conversation, video surveillance and source reports.
The senior intelligence official said the analysts’ judgment was based in part on monitoring of some of the Benghazi attackers, which showed they had been watching the Cairo protests live on television and talking about them before they assaulted the consulate....
...“It was a flash mob with weapons,” is how the senior official described the attackers. The mob included members of the Ansar al-Sharia militia, about four members of al-Qaeda in the Maghreb, and members of the Egypt-based Muhammad Jamal network, along with other unarmed looters.
...official said the only major change he would make now in the CIA’s Sept. 15 talking points would be to drop the word “spontaneous” and substitute “opportunistic.” He explained that there apparently was “some pre-coordination but minimal planning.”

My prediction (and my track record is poor) this is only just begun to explode. It will destroy 0bastard’s “legacy” - the grand finale of treason. I see prison in the future for some of them. I think 0bastard, after losing, will try to get out of the country, perhaps to Indonesia. Under what name, who knows. Many Dems will increasingly try to distance themselves, others will plea bargain.
The problem is that his handlers, bundlers, string pullers and so on didn’t realize that their puppet was fatally flawed. His flaw is that the he likes the Revolution (both commie and muzzie) because it serves his image of himself, his own enjoyment and ego are central, the Revolution is secondary. And he’s psychologically very Damaged Goods.

I’m waiting for some State Dept watchstander to go on a Sunday morning show and blow the lid off the entire disgusting episode.
A “career-ending move” to be sure, based on a desire to put integrity above paycheck and pension.
Over a hundred Americans watchstanders at State, the Pentagon, CIA, and the White House were watching all six hours of the attack on live feed, with the desperate cries for help coming in from those about to be killed.
But only one man could order a quick-fuse rescue attempt, from the Marines in Tripoli, our forces in southern Italy, or naval ships at sea.
But Obama did nothing to rescue the trapped Americans. Instead, he huddled with Jarrett and Axlerod, and came up with the “the video did it” cover story and lie.
It’s not about when he called it terrorisim. It’s about what he did and did NOT do during the consulate attack, when only he could order a rescue.

As soon as Romney & Ryan are in office, the Justice Department will be cleaned out from Top to Bottom & the people who inside the CIA & the NSA & the FBI will come out & tell what they know.
I think the actions of Rice, Obama, Hillary, and Panetta & others are treasonous & indictable.
I don’t see Romney standing still for their continuing posturing and lying. Nor do I see the American voter doing so, either.
The Democrat party would do well to come to the Oval Office & tell Obama it is time for him to resign before many more Dems go down with him.
This isn’t aone bit funny. Not only did 4 innocent people die, but each & every one of our Consulates & Embassies are in grave danger.
Where was the MSM coverage of the consulate in India (Channdia ?) which was atacked last week? How many attackers? How many people killed or wounded in our Consulate?

I am hoping that many will come clean, either to assuage their consciences or avoid imprisonment.
I think the explosion will be very huge and as I said above, the stench and taint of the 0bastard regime will ruin many careers and reputations.

I’m sorry...I must have missed Patreaus’ statement RE: Benghazi. In fact, I haven’t heard any reference to him other than “CIA documents” or “CIA sources.”

I am hoping beyond hope that he will be honest, and that he does have the personal integrity that I believe he has.
I am hoping that he will tell the REAL story.

I’ve been out of the loop lately...health issues in the family...and haven’t been privy to any statement he might have made.
This document prepared for the Administration runs in opposition to all the data and intelligence leading up to the day of the attack.
Amidst the documented escalation of threats and attacks, the embassy was repeatedly denied sustaining levels of security — the embassy’s security was is fact reduced in objection to the U.S. personnel in Libya. And as you pointed out, the Admin watched the events of the day unfold in real time.
To think the agencies could not immediately identify the nature of the attack is an absolute absurdity, and we should all be “insulted” by the Admin’s attempt to convince us otherwise.
