All of which is neither here nor there. Romney will arrive with a handful of picks he's going to demand as the winner.

He will need to be reminded forcefully that he could be primaried out so easy you would not believe........... because he's still the same old 22% guy, and is easy pickings for a major donor to trot out a Conservative to beat him.

The Mormons already have Hatch in the catbird's seat in a Republican controlled Senate so it will be unlikely for more than a couple of them to slip in in that first 3000 appointees, so no Huntsman ~ besides he's not a real Republican anymore anyway.

The biggest problem we'll have with Romney is he's going to be slow on getting rid of the holdover Democrats. He'll think like a businessman that it's better to have an experienced hand in place until you get the new guy appointed ~ and that's always wrong when it comes to Democrats.

The Democrats must be removed immediately ~ clear all the Schedule C appointments and the Cabinet level jobs ~ just do it. Those agencies have some old hands in the Executive Service who can probably handle the jobs better than the appointees did. There are procedures in place to put them in as acting whatevers.

Oh, yes, have the White House cleared for listening devices buried on the grounds or in the walls. We are up against a couple of enemies who can buy surveillance systems ~ and get them installed.

If he truly is a business man who hires the best John Bolton is the Sec State. He would be awesome and get things in order along with firing 3/4 of all the Hilliary holdovers.

I think if elected he is going to surprise a lot of freepers who doubt his commitment to conservative principles.

Has anyone asked that Bolton wants the job? Maybe Bolton has already told him no.

Yes we will be shunned but we will delay and just maybe prevent the end of the Republic. A reward of its own.

What information do you have on Romney’s foreign policy realists? Who are you thinking of and on what basis?

I’m curious because my brother thinks Mitt would he a warmonger and I don’t think so, but I’d love to have a rational discussion with him about it based on known facts.

Thanks in advance.

Well, to start with, he is a leftwingtard so it'll be a real surprise to see him pushing Conservative principles.

We'll have to use the old fashioned techniques to provide him the guidance he needs ~ and sometimes that won't be pretty, but it's gotta' be done.

I miss Tony Snow. I would love to see Colonel North rewarded for his courage and devotion to this country. I don’t know who will be picked to do what. All I know is I’m giddy.

Adult minds make rational calculations based on facts, children cling to sour grapes when things do not go their way.

Romney has stated he will rescind Barack Obama’s executive order authorizing US taxpayer fund to pay for overseas abortions.

But that single act alone a Romney Presidency will reduce the numbers of abortions.

There is NO other rational vote for any truly Christian voter. Your inaction empowers evil while your action would oppose it. Moral cowardice, not matter how carefully hidden in a fake gloss of morality, is till cowardice

Time to stop pouting because your candidate did not win the 2012 GOP nomination.

If Romney does manage to win,
(Racetrack superstition: Never go to the winner's circle before the race is run. But I think he has a good chance of winning.),
he's going to inherit a huge mess.

His cabinet is going to have to be a combination of "The Untouchables" and "Doc Holliday", "Wyatt Earp" and the crew of the OK Corral.
There's just been so much underhanded crap going on for the last 4 years.

And who knows what O and company will do on their way out.
(Remember the Clinton's took off with everything they could carry, and left feces on the carpets of the WH- among other things.)

I think Sarah, as incredibly wonderful as she is, chose a life in media when she and Todd endorsed Newt.

He's been out of government for too long and probably has all kinds of potential conflicts of interest that would have to be addressed due to his private consulting work.

Chris Christie brings all of Giuliani's credentials with a real tough-guy approach that a lot of folks might find endearing.

Fast and Furious will be dropped like a hot potato.

Maybe. But maybe not.

The gigantic scope of the case could make it too big to ignore:

1. Over 200 people dead.

2. Involves a foreign nation.

3. Possible alliance with a drug cartel, including a carte blanche for their dealing.

4. Likely attempt to subvert the Constitution

5. High level involvement, along with as many as four separate departments.

Moreover, there is substantial political hay to be gained by a successful investigation and prosecution.

...with Hispanic voters.

...with Democrat voters who would be appalled to discover the depth of their party's corruption.

Not to mention conservatives...

The eventual outcome could well cripple the Democrat party for decades. If not destroy it...

Those are pretty high stakes. And all it would take is to "do the right thing"...

John Bolton exposed himself as a fraud and an @sshole when he came out and publicly supported the Clinton administration's bombing campaign in Kosovo and Serbia.

Good riddance to that guy ... I hope he never darkens the doorway of a Republican administration again.

Robert Zoellick heading Romney’s national security team is what I find comforting and a sign that Romney would move to a more traditional old school Republican worldview and away from the confrontational mindset that predominated in GW Bush’s years. In short, more Bush I than Bush II.

Just to be clear, a guy from National Review wrote the article, not Mitt Romney.

Talk about putting the Cart before the Horse. Let's concentrate on winning the Election before we start another bash Romney Thread because some guy thinks he knows what's what.

What a waste of time at this point in the Campaign. Geez...
