Teachers Take Entire School to Obama Rally
By Todd Starnes
More than 250 teachers and students of a public charter middle school in Rhode Island spent Thursday at a political rally for President Obama instead of in class learning about reading, writing and arithmetic.
The Blackstone Valley Prep Mayoral Academy rented coach buses as well as school buses to travel more than two hours to New Hampshire where the president addressed his supporters.

Unreal!
Blatent political advocacy and brainwashing.
My child would NOT go to school that day, period!!!
....is the best occasion to wear earplugs.
These teachers need to be fired and then tared and feathered.
Did they register the kids too?
Crafty maneuver by the Obama administration since you only have to be 18 to vote. I bet the Obama campaign sent out invitations to thousands of schools this year.
The teachers should teach an ethics lesson about using power and position of authority to influence people using propaganda and sleaze tactics...
Do we even have to guess the race of the teachers that took them to the rally?
look for the union label.
My kids simply would not be allowed. Most parents actually look at their schools as a “they always know best” institution and allow this BS. Weak minded, jellyfish parents that are afraid of their own shadow let this crap happen.
Wonder how many other people in that ‘crowd of 6000 (snicker)’ were from ‘out of state’? I wonder how many will be back to vote?

Typical of RI edumactors...I have in-laws there...
How’s this approach working for you, RI?
Still have 12% unemployment?????
I actually agree with this, Republican or Democrat if you can take your class to the President of the United States speak, I think you should take advantage. That is quite an experience to have.
Bump
Sa long as the people put up with this shit, it will only get worse.
That is where you and I part company then. I very seriously doubt that they would have taken them to see [hear] President Bush. And in closing, that imposter that currently occupies the White House is not and never will be my President.
They’ll also have quite an experience when they realize they can’t get a job, and have to pay back the debt bath-house barry has acumulated...
We are in the minority here apparently. I agree. It is the president, whether he is one I like or not. As a parent, I would have been one of the chaperones and I would have been there to rebut any outright advocacy by the teacher.
Did the parents even know in advance?
Or is this another October Surprise?
