So you consider $3 a low gasoline price?
I think the average for Bush’s 8 years is closer to $2.50, but even $3 would seem cheap now.
The Bush average was under $3.
Other Freeper stated that for most of the Bush administration gas prices were low. You posted a chart that showed gas prices over the course of the Bush administration.
From 2001 through all of 2003 and most of 2004, gas prices were below $2.00 (except for two very brief spikes in 2004). From 2005 gas prices were below $3.00 except for a brief spike that barely topped $3.00 and then dropped sharply back down well below $2.50, and in 2006 prices trended up to and stayed right at $3.00 for a few months in the late spring and summer before trending back down to well below $2.50 at the end of 2006. At the beginning of 2007 -- when the Pelosi/Reid Congress took control -- gas prices were a about $2.25. During the last two years of the Bush Administration, when the Pelosi/Reid Congress blocked Bush's agenda and forced through stagflationary federal minimum wage legislation as its only "accomplishment", gas prices trended steadily upward peaking above $4.00 in mid 2008. Prices dropped sharply in the second half of 2008 as Bush relaxed off-shore drilling moratoriums through executive order and were once again below $2.00 when Zero took office in January 2009.
So what exactly is the basis for your challenge of "So you consider $3 a low gasoline price?" The data you posted shows that to be an invalid challenge to the other FReeper's post.
