In my column today at The Fiscal Times, I gave Mark Halperin of Time Magazine a lot of credit for being one of the very few journalists that spoke out about Barack Obamas lack of a second-term agenda or much substance at all after the debate on Tuesday night. Well get back to the column in a moment, but first Halperin extends his analysis today after a 36-hour cycle of Bindergate. Halperin cant believe that were less than three weeks out from the election, and all that seems to concern the Leader of the Free World and his brain trust is the word binders:

Halperins right this is whats wrong with our politics at the moment, but its also a deliberate strategy from Team Obama. He cant run on his record; his record includes a dramatic erosion of median household income during the recovery that started on his watch, as well as the lowest civilian population participation rate for the workforce since 1981. Obama wont run on his agenda, because he either doesnt have one (and he certainly hasnt published one or pushed it at either debate, choosing to attack Romney instead), or because, as Mickey Kaus writes, any honesty about his second-term agenda would cost him the election.

Women are very protective of their families and for this reason are willing to sacrifice freedom for security. A losing proposition for our nation.
Astonishingly stupid and childish.
At least in my experience, too, Schieffer is a straight shooter. A lib, but normally a straight shooter.
Could be getting worse as he gets older....so will see.
This is completely off topic and may post this article, but apparently Halloween mask sales, which earlier were big for Obama, are now switching toward Romney despite a current lead for Obama.
That is an interesting development. Completely unscientific, but does show buzz for Romney skyrocketing:
“”However, whereas in September Obama masks were selling 35 percent more than Romney masks, to date in October, Romney masks are selling 200 percent more than Obama masks.”
Another costume seller, Buycostumes.com, has what it calls The Official Presidential Mask Poll 2012, which features a state-by-state tally of which candidate is winning. The company’s website boasts that its mask sales have correctly predicted the election winner since 2000 when Republican George W. Bush narrowly defeated Democrat Al Gore.
So far, the company said, Obama masks are outselling Romney masks by 51 to 49 percent.”
No offense, but where did you come from? If I was tolerant to libs, I’d be helping to wreck my country.
Let’s correct that: Big Bird, Binders, Biden and Birth Control. Now that’s a platform I can tip my hat to.
Oh, and a-Bortion.
” - - - If I was tolerant to libs, Id be helping to wreck my country.”
Liberals are incapable of reasoned debate, and thus dialogue with a Liberal invariably ends up as two monologues.
However, once a Liberal runs out of other people’s money a dialogue might be possible, if they can still tolerate an opinion different from their own.
IOW, lead by example, especially in a tough-love manner.
Patience helps too, as those afflicted with Lib-sickness rarely heal quickly, and relapses are common.
I hate to be preached at. Lay off it!
Unless those women are in three ring binders, I could care less.
Have a nice life.
The woman vote happened to come along in the progressive era, and shortly thereafter our Republic went down the tubes with the New Deal (as anticipated in Wilson’s War Socialism). You can’t blame women, though. It was a coincidence.
One of my pet counterhistorical wishes is tva women would have gotten the vote along with blacks after the War Between the States. There was a strong libertarian streak early on, which I infinitely prefer to the current leftist monopoly in feminism. Socialists won them over after they were left hanging for about 60 years.
I’m at a loss as to what the real difference is between not realizing you’re in a hole and continuing to dig because of pride.
