Major change to Univ. of Va's Ctr. for Politics (WWR's partner) electoral count: For first time, Pres. no longer has 270 safe/likely votes
Univ. of Virginia Ctr. for Politics now says President has just 267 safe/likely electoral votes - three short of needed 270. Romney: 235
UVA Ctr. for Politics has now moved Wisconsin (10 electoral votes) from leans Dem. to toss up. President's lead down to one point
New electoral college count: Obama 267, Romney 235 and 36 toss ups (Colo., New Hamp., Va. & Wisc.) from UVA Ctr. for Politics
UVA also notes the growing possibility of an electoral college tie: 269-269. If this happens, election is decided by GOP-dominated House

Marcia law shall reign forever and ever!
He said that about Fort Hood?
Victory, free at last.
I have Faith, and not the spirit of doubt, otherwise my Faith is voided.
Think how hard we’re going to sleep once this nightmare is all over.
If you left the champagne on its side, so that the cork remained wet (and swollen), it should be fine.
Salut!
Marsha,Marsha, Marsha..
That worked well didn’t it?
Let me guess, the reason The Disaster is even close to 270 is because they are giving him Ohio, Michigan, Penn. He may very well lose all three.
If there’s an electoral college tie, then the House picks the president, with each state getting one vote. Congressmen do not vote as individuals.
The Senate would pick the vice-president, with each Senator voting individually.
The new House and Senate elected in Nov. 2012 would do the voting if this comes to pass. So, if Republicans can capture the Senate, then Biden would not be elected VP. And if Republicans capture at least 26 state delegations in the House, then they would pick Romney.
The liberals will claim the above is unfair but that’s how the constitution settles a case in which no candidate has an electoral college majority.
Cheers to all.
Will this ever happen again? I still can wrap my head around how it happened in the first place.
The people that voted for him are the same type that would invest with Bernie Madoff after working all their lives and apparently SMART enough to earn that money, but to dumb to not remember "if it sounds to good to be true, it isn't".
I don't feel one bit sorry for them, and I despise the Obama voter, despise is a mild word here for what I am really thinking. They pooped on us, themselves and this nation 4 years ago, and they are to BLAME for it all.
Thanks for filling in the blank as to which members of congress (old or newly elected) vote.
Expect LOTS of attempted skullduggery by the Dems if that happens.
“Heard Paul Rothsein (Professor at Georgetown) say that we have never been as close to seeing an electoral college tie as this election. Should that come to pass, the House would declare Romney President however the Senate would declare Biden VP. The possibility of that is giving me the heebie jeebies.”
Consider the source, a university “professor.” This jerk probably doesn’t have the intellect to take a bent dime out of a Coke machine!
My long dead father used to say that a college professor was a $5,000 a year man who thinks he can show you how to make $10,000. The math is from the 50’s but the concept is the same.
