If there’s an electoral college tie, then the House picks the president, with each state getting one vote. Congressmen do not vote as individuals.

The Senate would pick the vice-president, with each Senator voting individually.

The new House and Senate elected in Nov. 2012 would do the voting if this comes to pass. So, if Republicans can capture the Senate, then Biden would not be elected VP. And if Republicans capture at least 26 state delegations in the House, then they would pick Romney.

The liberals will claim the above is unfair but that’s how the constitution settles a case in which no candidate has an electoral college majority.

Thanks for filling in the blank as to which members of congress (old or newly elected) vote.
