Mr. Obama falsely said that he had called the murders in Benghazi a terrorist act the day after September 11. Gov Romney was seemingly bewildered about what to say. Mr. Obama further told the outrageous untruth that in a democracy, the President should not be criticized over a defense/foreign policy disaster.

I don't think that matters. 0bungles made an unforced error and Romney made him reiterate it so there would be no mistaking 0bungles' intentions adding a forced error on top of the first one. All Candy the Hut accomplished was to put her reputation on the quicksand of 0blahblah's lie. Romney got what he wanted.

I don’t think he was befuddled. The “look” Romney gave Obama when he asked Obama the question the second time was exactly the same look any good father would give to a lying teenager when the father knows the teen is lying, and is giving him a chance to ‘fess up. And when Obama replied, “Proceed,” he sounded like a haughty teenager who’s learned what he thinks he is a high-class-sounding putdown and has decided to try to show up Dad. Never in American history has any President looked smaller and more peurile, worse than Jimmy Carter with the killer rabbit, worse than Richard Nixon with “Well I’m not a crook.” Obama’s chickens comin’ home to roost...

Yeah, I agree. The fact that Candy Crowley butted right in to defend Obama on something Romney and the rest of us knew was wrong really threw Romney off game.
Romney was starting to do a great job of setting Obama up as a liar. Then the fat ref Candy smashed a chair over his head from behind. I would have been confused at that moment as well.
One positive thing for all of us to keep in mind from last night.
Instead of Obama talking about Bin Laden being dead, Barry is going to be forced to keep talking about the fact our Libyan Ambassador is dead instead.
So while some conservative bed wetters are upset that tactically Romney didn’t have a quick reply last night, strategically this will work for Romney. it will be all Libya for the next week. The issue isn’t going away.
