CNN anchor and debate moderator Candy Crowley joined CNN’s panel after the debate to discuss a moment where she corrected Mitt Romney after he claimed that President Barack Obama had refused to characterize the attack in Libya an act of terror for 14 days. Crowley said that Romney’s was “right” in that the Obama administration spent weeks refusing to say that the attack was terrorism, but she thought at the time that “he picked the wrong word.”
“I heard the president speak at the time. I, sort of, reread a lot of stuff about Libya because I knew we’d probably get a Libya question so I kind of wanted to be up on it,” said Crowley. “I knew that the president had said, you know, these acts of terror won’t stand. Or, whatever the whole quote was.”
“Right after that I did turn around and say, but you’re totally correct that they spent two weeks telling us this was about a tape and that that there was this riot outside the Benghazi consulate which there wasn’t,” Crowley added.
“He was right in the main, I just think he picked the wrong word,” Crowley concluded. She went on to say that her instinct forced her to correct Romney even though his “thrust” was correct.

Here is what Romney should have said. I penned this in two minutes off the top of my head.
“Mr. President - spare me your lecture. Your record speaks for itself. You have failed to attend 3/4 of your intel briefings opting for golf and fundraising instead, your admn denied the Benghazi embassy the requested added security on at least 4 occasions, as the embassy was under attack you jetted off to a fundraiser in Las Vegas and a photo op on The View as well as a fundraiser w Jay Z. You proceeded to blame a non-existent youtube video at the UN and spent $74,000 of taxpayer money on ads in Arabic on pakistani TV to apologize for said video. The FBI was not on the scene for 3 weeks while CNN was able to secure the Diary of Ambassador Stevens the day after the attack. And now you hide behind Hillary Clinton who has said she will not be serving a second term and have the gaul to lecture us? Mr. President shame on you. Americans deserve better than the incompetent and faiiled and non-existent leadership you provide. That is going to change when I am elected President three weeks from now.”
Strange twist, but true. And the next debate is on foreign policy. This time Romney should be prepared to counter the BS “I’m insulted you think me or my people are politicizing this” tactic Zero used. Of course you were politicizing, assclown. Why else would send Rice to five news shows on Sunday to say it was about a retarded video? Insulted? Here’s a free phone card, call somebody who gives a shi’ite.
Pissy Mathews made a comment about how brave Crowley was to call out Romney and “imagine if she had been wrong.” Well, Pissy, SHE says she was wrong. Of course in your little brain I’m sure you think she’s wrong about that. Sucks to be a liberal asshat, doesn’t Pissy?
Using the word “terrorism” in a speech is not the same as calling the attack terrorism. Crowley, in her zeal to defend her idol, Obama, gave up her role as referee, and attempted to trip Romney. When all of the instant analyses are long over and forgotten, Sycophant Crowley and her team of democrat bed wetters at CNN will end up the loosers in this debate.
Using the word “terrorism” in a speech is not the same as calling the attack terrorism. Crowley, in her zeal to defend her idol, Obama, gave up her role as referee, and attempted to trip Romney. I don’t think I’ve ever witnessed a moderator so blatantly take sides with a political candidate against another candidate in a debate in my life, especially a POTUS debate, and I’ve been watching political debates since the early 70s. It just doesn’t happen, but this is the world we live in now where our media has now become nothing but a commie propaganda machine that will pull anything to get their commie BS realized.
Obama over played that for sure, that is going to come back and bite him.
