Governor Bush received 357,847 votes, or 54 percent of the total.
The Democratic contender, Vice President Al Gore, received 276,898 votes, or 41 percent.
Only 26,736 students, comprising 4 percent of the total, voted for other candidates.
2008:
“Senator Barack Obama won with 57 percent of the vote, to 39 percent for Republican nominee Senator John McCain.”
So in 2008, Obama won this by 18 points while winning by 7 in the real election. I’m hoping this one is 11 points overly optimistic for Obama this time as well.
