Via Sean Higgins, the Washington Post has a doozy of a story this morning about the travails of Jesse Jackson Jr. who is battling accusations of corruption as well as dealing with issues related to mental illness. While the Post's article carries a colorless headline, the revelations contained within are likely to raise some eyebrows:

No problem. Most of those who will re-elect him are loonie too.
Long ago, JJ Jr. proved himself a nutcase when he said Obama’s election warranted a new chapter in the Bible.
If you wanna’ hang out you’ve got to take her out; Cocaine.
If you wanna’ get down, down on the ground; Cocaine.
She don’t lie, she don’t lie, she don’t lie; Cocaine.
If you got bad news, you wanna kick them blues; Cocaine.
When your day is done and you wanna’ run; Cocaine.
She don’t lie, she don’t lie, she don’t lie; Cocaine.
If your thing is gone and you wanna’ ride on; Cocaine.
Don’t forget this fact, you can’t get it back; Cocaine.
She don’t lie, she don’t lie, she don’t lie; Cocaine.
Perhaps a sequel to: The Search for Bridey Murphy?
First reporter’s question to Jr......Was Helen really all she was cracked up to be?
Maybe he is living an altered state from pot or bath salt abuse? Check his wife for bites.
Well, he's on the ballot. According to an article I read last night, he's done squat (campaign-wise) since he won the primary back in the Spring (iirc).
“Awww come on! Just lemme beat the one with the midget driver!”
Wait a minute. Who’s to say that he’s not?
Much of Hollyweird believes they are as well.
If he actually has BiPolar (or worse, Schizoaffective disorder like my son), then well, maybe it would be just a bit.
If the WaPo article is correct it sounds like he has had some sort of psychotic break. When my son had his first such break a few years ago, he had burst into the house one night in a panic, convinced absolutely that every car that was around him on the hiway was a terrorist trying to kill him. At the time, we didn't understand what we were witnessing, but now, thanks to our association with NAMI, we do understand it.
In the interest of full disclosure, I am now the coordinator for my state for the NAMI Family-to-Family education program - a 12 week course for families who have loved ones diagnosed with serious brain disorders.
I am no fan of Jessie Jackson Jr., but I would not wish a serious brain disorder like BiPolar on anyone - not even him.
"I may be woony but at weast I'm not gowin' to Awlcatwaz!!!"
Mental illness two-fer. A leftist and now this.
wow.
And this is what the Democrat voters are looking for in “leaders”??
Darn. What the heck was he on? Must have really good (or really bad!) stuff!
“I’m Spartacus! Er, wait.....I mean the other guy, Ben Hur!”
I didn’t know the Greeks even had chariots.
Sounds like you’ve taken on a very worthwhile endeavor.
All the best to your son.
