Sad, isn't it? But I must say that many historic figures who have "exceeded expectations" in one direction or another have had active maladjustments. We can take this man at face value: his values are destructive because they are shallow and illogical. His use of victimology is based on an unreality. No one -- no one -- can legislate a "level playing field" or "a fair shot for everyone." To do so is inherently illogical. Why would even a first-grade teacher want to harness the brightest kids in the class to the learning disabled, insisting that they all move at the same rate? To do so is to introduce chaos and rebellion by the kids who are smarter than she is. And why would the same teacher want to harness the fate of the average kids to that of the less-able, or the gifted? To do so is to damage their precious "self-esteem."

That is a micro example. The same principles apply in the body politic as a whole: we cannot afford to lash the gifted together with the "ballast" economically. We must allow gifted people to strive for greater rewards, and take them home at the same time that their efforts benefit many others whom they employ or patronize. We must allow persons who are best suited to be the assistants and mechanics and caretakers of their fellow men in the workplace, in communities, in the neighborhoods and places of worship, with the full complement of dignity any sincere work effort deserves, and the rewards of close-knit community life, religious affiliation and marriage to be foremost in their lives. Most importantly, we must preserve the dignity of those who deliver social value in the home -- as direct caretakers of children and elders.

We are all created differently for different purposes in society. And as has been demonstrated, God can use even evil persons or their deeds to accomplish good outcomes. But it takes God's timetable, not our timetable. Therefore I concede that the damage the Obama administration is doing will last for generations, as have the damages done by the Hitler and FDR regimes.

My proposed solution is this, and I hope many other FReepers will accept and implement this commission: we conservatives need to equip ourselves to perform missionary work in our own nation, whether for the religion of our Founders or for the "Civil Religion" they created based on Judeo-Christian principles. Whole generations have been wasted by the current evil nightmare. Only if we learn our own scriptures, our history and the intended social benefits of the American project can we hope to inform young people in a way that will inspire them to restore our republic.

Our system was designed for a self-governing people whose morality is established within them, requiring little government from outside them. It has extended so much freedom to so many, now including waves of immigrants who have not been expected to learn these principles, that we have allowed our incompletely formed children and youth to be pushed off the edges of freedom into self-destruction.

No freedom can be sustained without self-discipline. It will be up to us who still have some to pull this nation away from its media devices and back to work together.
