The Pentagon and State Department are rushing to help the Libyan government (within 12 months to) create a commando force to combat Islamic (extremists movie goers).
Obama shifted about $8 million from Pentagon operations aid budgeted for Pakistan to begin building an elite Libyan force over the next year could number about 500 troops," a final decision on the plan by the end of the year.

What? Give a bunch of muslims in a country largely controlled by Al Qaeda a bunch of RPG’s and commando weaponry but you train ‘em up really good. Don’t see any holes in that. We should probably throw in some of our most advanced anti-aircraft missiles and a little something nuclear. Then they’d be really good little pro-western commandos.
Of course, they would have to promise not to turn over any weapons or know-how to Al Qaeda. That closes the last possible hole.
This appears to be mere soon-to-be forgotten electioneering, and every thinking person should suspect it.
Who knew, BTW, that Libya would be Obama's October Surprise on himself?
