LONDON (AP) You can't always get what you want but if your desire is to attend a Rolling Stones concert this might be your lucky day.
The legendary band said Monday it would return to the stage this year with four concerts in Britain and the United States. The shows will take place on Nov. 25 and 29 at London's O2 Arena, followed by gigs on Dec. 13 and 15 at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, just outside of New York.
The shows mark the first time in five years that the Stones have performed live, with Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts and Ronnie Wood all coming together once more. The band said it was the "crowning glory" of celebrations marking its 50th anniversary of its first gig.

um.. no.. unless you have a load of extra bucks then go ahead.. I know for a fact that the Stones haven’t been worth seeing live for the last 20 years unless you love tossing your money away.. I mean just because these guys are still alive .. PLEASE!
You’re right. I’ll wait for the book.
Pat Benatar.
Good!!!! +-
>>Steve Morse still has the same hairstyle he had in 1978.
I didn’t know who he was. Had to look it up.

Dare I ask what Pat Benatar has to do with 60’s group Rosie & The Originals?
Brooose Springstein is about as hard a rocker as Billy Joel.
He looks as skinny and unhealthy as ever
Never hesitate to axe. The answer: the mediocre she has as much to do with mediocre Rosie, etc, as the mediocrities Deep Purple have to do with the great Rolling Stones.

You win (and I listened for the first time probably to DP number from beginning to end.)
An unrelated anecdote, while I’m at it.
A long time ago I saw the Stones at a stadium tour. They opened, imagine that, for the less known at the time (at least outside of San Francisco) Dreadful Grape. Why opened, you ask? You had to be there to know. The Grapes played all night. At one point all members left the stage leaving only Jerrold Garcia playing a 45 minute solo. Playing? I’m being generous. I left sometime during it waiting for it to end. (And inhaling the weed didn’t help the experience, believe me, if prior to it you were a Rolling Stones or even the Swinging Blue Jeans fan.)

Saw them 30 years ago at an outdoor venue, totally boring, I was given the ticket as well. If people want to be mugs to make these tossrs richer , when you are complaining of being skint, then go ahead. They really are only worth a tenner..honest !!

They have an expensive lifestyle and they need as many mugs as they can get to fund it.

Well, I saw them 23 years ago at NY’s Shea Stadium and they were fantastic. A lot of people simply don’t know what the hell they’re talking about, be it music or politics.
Then again, as professional as they, I suppose they’re capable of a bad or weak show every now and then.
