That's when I saw them at Shea Stadium (Oct 1989). I said earlier it was in the 90s. I looked it up here:
freaking washed up male whores.
At some point in their careers I wish they had taken time to propagate dozens of other groups, perhaps created a rock ‘n’ roll college with some of the other ‘master’ groups of the time, that would have the resources to turn good young groups into great groups.
Similar in concept to some of the great Renaissance artists, who instead of just relying on their own works, had entire schools associated with their style, creating a much broader legacy.
For instance, the Stones were very influenced by American blues performers, of which an enormous library exists, but most up and coming musicians have heard very little blues. Just by having a handy library would give them all sorts of ideas.
Then they could bring in musical masters to give seminars, so the students could learn the look, feel and capabilities of dozens of uncommon instruments any of which they might integrate into their own stuff for a unique sound.
I’m afraid to ask what you consider good music.
HUGE Stones fan, but quite frankly, they were done as a live band about 30 years ago.
well it ain’t from 60’s druggies, vd-ridden, whoring, anti-christian hacks that had to go to africa several times to steal rhythms from the locals.
At last! Someone who appreciates one of the best, if not THE best, rock n roll band in history. Have to say, I’m really surprised by some of the responses here.
Thanks. Not bad once it got going. Prefer the 5 I listed earlier much better, though.

I have Machine Head on vinyl and the anniversary CD release.
:^)
That other track is from “The Book of Taliesyn,” which is an interesting album.
IBSBJF (In Before Swinging Blue Jeans Fans!)
Check out this incredible relatively recent live version of Pictures From Home, with huge orchestral accompaniment. Stick with it, it takes about 2 minutes to get going.

Deep Purple? When you wanna go bad, why not directly to Rosie & the Originals.

The Rolling Gallstones.
Mick has been a health nut since the late 70s.
I guess that makes about as much sense as some of the other comments here.
they are just suckering more of your hard money into their pockets.. save your funds and take your family to a Civil War battlefield or the Smithsonian
Hey, I was there..Whittier High School 1958-1959. Pioneer 1960 1961.
One can do both, can't they? They're celebrating their 50th anniversary. It's a special occasion for them and their longtime fans.
