This is a Clintonian modified limited hangout. It makes Obama look weak before the debate (war on women!). More significantly, it shrewdly dumps the cover up onto Obama.

I doubt very much that Barry cleared this interview or move by Hillary.

He probably didn't, and he probably has no idea how to react. The earlier speculation was that BJC went to Greg Craig to see what legal jeopardy HRC might be in now that the White House had clearly set her up to take the fall. But what if, instead, he went to make sure she had no legal issues if she preempted the pResident? Greg Craig would be the person to ask if the umbrella of Executive Immunity would continue to protect Hillary if she took a position that the pResident claimed was false.

Now, what can 0bama do? He was setting her up, and rather than let the blame hang in the air for a few days, she's admitted she was "guilty." But then, he's still on the hook for the cover-up, and she's not running for anything this year...
