"I take responsibility" for what happened on September 11, Clinton said in an interview with CNN's Elise Labott soon after arriving in Lima, Peru for a visit. The interview, one of a series given to U.S. television networks Monday night, were the first she has given about the attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi.
Clinton insisted President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden are not involved in security decisions, Clinton said.
"I want to avoid some kind of political gotcha," she added, noting that it is close to the election.

So he is such a **feline nickname** that he’ll let a woman take the fall for him, or worse, put her up to it? I don’t think the women of this country will like this, much less the men over, say, 40 years of age (or younger if raised traditionally). That’s an AWFUL LOT of voters, or am I wrong?

Questions still remain.
When did she first become aware that the Consulate was under attack? Others in the State Department were following the incident in real time. Was she?
Within the first 24 hours, State knew that this was a terrorist attack, and that it had nothing to do with the video. Was she aware that this was the assessment of her own Department, and did she share that assessment?
Did she make the White House aware of the State Department assessment of the incident? If so, when?
Did she direct Susan Rice to appear on the talk shows the following Sunday to blame the incident on the video? If not, who did?
Why, in the face of over 200 reported violent incidents, did she refuse the repeated requests for additional security?
Was this in furtherance of some Administration policy regarding the "Arab Spring", or was this solely her own call, based on her own assessment of the security situation in Libya?
And, of course, whose idea was it to blame the incident on the video in the first place?

I worked for General Haig in Iowa when he briefly ran for the White House in 1987-88. He meant that as a warning to the Soviet Union and China, not as a grab for power, but of course, the press used it as a cudgel.
Obama is not responsible for anything that happen the first day of elementary school to date.

This is a Clintonian modified limited hangout. It makes Obama look weak before the debate (war on women!). More significantly, it shrewdly dumps the cover up onto Obama.
I doubt very much that Barry cleared this interview or move by Hillary.
