White House, Obama Campaign, Wont Answer When President Met with NSC After Benghazi By Fred Lucas October 15, 2012
(CNSNews.com) Neither the White House nor the Obama re-election campaign will answer when President Barack Obama first met with his National Security Council after the terrorist attack in Benghazi, Libya that killed four Americans, including U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens.
On Monday, neither responded to CNSNews.com, which asked, At what hour on what day did President Obama first meet with the National Security Council to discuss what had happened in Benghazi on Sept. 11, 2012?
The NSC is chaired by the president and is typically convened during an emergency. Regular attendees are Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Defense Secretary Leon Panetta, National Security Advisor Tom Donilon and Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Martin Dempsey.
Other members include, Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner and U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder. Thus, convening the NSC could allow the intelligence community to communicate with the State Department and potentially settle conflicting information.
On Monday morning, CNSNews.com called the White House, which asked for the question to be e-mailed. CNSNews.com e-mailed the question at 9:01 a.m.
At 10:36 a.m., Bernadette Meehan, director of media outreach and assistant press secretary for the National Security Staff at the White House, responded by e-mail, Jay will be ready to respond to this in the gaggle today, referring to White House Press Secretary Jay Carney, who was at the Kingsmill Resort in Williamsburg, Va., where the president is preparing for the second presidential debate.
According to the official White House transcript of the press gaggle that began at 10:47 a.m. and ended at 11:19 a.m., the subject of Benghazi never came up.

because he didn’t
Wasn’t he on his way to Vegas?
Well, we know it was after going to Las Vegas.
And Hillary wont’ answer when she first met with 0 about Benghazi either.
We can presume that he was too busy watching Sports Center to be troubled by any bumps in the road.
A room full of anti american democrats and we expect this crowd to perform National Security functions. What happened in Benghazi was this group’s normal operation,as was FAST and FURIOUS.
No doubt they met with him on the golf course, hence the reason there is no record of this meeting on WH visitor logs etc.
...it also may be because Mama Garrett don’t want the little boy king upset with making presidential decisions, it’s best for someone else to take the fall if things go wrong. Ask Hillary what the weather is like in Peru, she probably hinted that she wasn’t going to carry the load, so best to send her off to check out the beaches there.

About Presidential Briefing Habits

President Obama sat down with intelligence officials on Friday for his presidential daily briefing. That might not sound all that surprising, but despite its title, this does not actually happen daily. The turmoil in the Middle East has provided fodder for critics about the way Mr. Obama reviews intelligence. While the president receives an intelligence briefing in writing every day, he does not sit down with intelligence officials for an in-person briefing every day. To Republican opponents, that has become a symbol of inattentiveness to a dangerous world. If President Obama were participating in his....
The obama people are trying to act like this is no big deal and that Romney and the republicans are politicizing this. This is a big effin’ deal. Al Quaeda attacked American soil and raised their damn flag. Obama flew off to Vegas the next day. obama doesn’t meet with his security team and cabinet on a regular basis. He owes us answers. Don’t let up republicans.
Shouldn’t the first question be “if” rather than “when”?
I think he’ll hit it hard. Don’t forget - all they talked about in the aftermath was Romney Romney Romney. That was the extent of the media’s post-attack coverage.

Here is the takeaway for me.
powerful people facing off. Each hoping no one goes THERE but all letting the others know they will go THERE if necessary. Everyone else is just scrambling for cover.
Whatever happened is so bad that people are willingly looking like idiots to prevent it from coming out.
Panetta has been low profile. If Clinton goes after Panetta - Panetta wins.
Yes: Right after he had the plane bringing back the bodies to Dover diverted to Andrews, so he could make a planned fund raiser in DC.

There isn’t a one in the bunch I would trust to walk my dog.
If this is the National Security Council we are in a heap of trouble. This is more like CYA on steroids. If they ever met at all.
