I will never ever understand this man’s appeal or success. First time I heard a Springsteen song I thought it was a joke, like someone was spoofing Dylan. And “Born in the USA” sounds like a ditty my son made up while he was alone in the tub with his army men. So he can’t sing, can’t compose, and now he’s proven he can’t think or reason.

“Born in the USA” is clearly an anti-American song. Yet you regularly hear it played at patriotic events, and by people you'd think would or should know better. I've seen it played at events sponsored by (pro-American) Vietnam veteran groups. 4th of July, etc.
