President Obama's bringing in The Boss.
On Thursday, Bruce Springsteen will join former president Bill Clinton at an Obama rally in Parma, Ohio. The campaign announced later that the iconic New Jersey rocker would add another stop that same day in Ames, Iowa.
Springsteen is no stranger to Democratic rallies. The weekend before election day in 2008, he warmed up a crowd of 80,000 people at an Obama event in Cleveland. Four years prior, Springsteen took part in a similar rally for Sen. John Kerry. Tuesday will be his first campaign event in this election cycle.
"Bruce Springsteens values echo what the president and vice president stand for: hard work, fairness, integrity, Obama campaign manager Jim Messina told Ohio's The Plain Dealer. "His appearances will help with our get out the vote effort in these critical swing states and we are thrilled with his ongoing support."
Polls show the race in Ohio is tightening. As National Journal's Major Garrett reported on Wednesday, "The gap has closed from what was an 8 to 10 point Obama lead to just outside the margin of error." Consequently, Democrats are redoubling efforts there. Real Clear Politics's average of polls has Obama up by 1.3 points in the state.
In Iowa, Obama also has seen his lead shrink, according to polls.
No word on which songs Springsteen might be playing at either show -- or whether Clinton will join in on sax.
If you want a lib who can do something great then it is Neil over Springstein by 100 to 1. I always bet on country boy Neil the uber liberal.
Niels alright.
Niels pretty conservative.
It’s because they’re all rich, they’ve forgotten what it’s like to struggle!
He has a conservative work ethic and lifestyle at home...same wife for 30+ years. Same as Ben Affleck who works his butt off and lives conservative with a modest wife and three daughters. But both have to connect the dots as far as politics
Neil has always liked country music and living a rural lifestyle
Obie sucks
He’s alright
He (this big lefty) has his moments!
Yep, white guilt, it put Odumba in the White House, everyone thought we would all sing Kumba Yah and just get along, well, a**holes still come in all shapes, sizes, and colors and communists too!

God willing we get semi-delivered on Nov6th. Mitt is the right step in the right direction. America needs some breathing room from the commie onslaught of Obama and his minions. I need to room to move!!!
Freekin Awesome!
It just shows once again that while Keef may not be the best electric guitar technician, he is most certainly the most interesting rock guitar player out there.
Ohio is all funked up.
Springsteen is not

Todd Parker Mohr is close, but Keef owns it
Orale!!!!
Thank goodness for the modern media. We have learned a lot more about Communism of that era. I wonder if the MSM of the 60s and 70s knew about the mass murder in China and the USSR but were mum about it. Probably not. Then again, I remember watch the “Killing Fields” movie. Never made the connection, though.
Wonder if it would have changed our opinion of the Vietnam War? The Occupy Movement was supposed to be patterned after the anti-War protesters of the 60s and we know how the Occupy Movement ended up — a dud.
War should never be taken lightly. But knowing how truly evil Communism was and is might have made it crystal clear to the naysayers why we treated it as such a serious threat.
