THIS IS INSANE…
The Obama State Department testified this week that the rational that they were not on the ground for 17 days in Benghazi was because they could not get Visa’s.
Former CIA officer Gary Bernsten was on with Judge Jeanine Saturday:
Gary Bernsten:
“It’s about leadership. In this particular case I saw the Department of State and I heard testimony that said that the rational that we were not on the ground in Benghazi after 17 days is because they couldn’t get Visa’s. Which is insanity. They should have gotten people on planes, both the agency and the FBI, and similarly they should have had military people there, moving there to aid an embassy that was under attack that was sovereign US territory in an area that weakly controlled by the government. And even if it’s a diplomatic problem, you move to save your people first.”
It’s true… Press TV reported on this back on October 6th.
According to the report, security concerns had kept the American intelligence agents and investigators from traveling the 400 miles from the American embassy in Tripoli to gather evidence at the US consulate in Benghazi. Administration officials on Thursday attributed the delay to the Libyan government, which they said was slow in granting approval for the US operation.
Terrorists attacked our consulate and murdered our ambassador on 9-11 and the Obama administration waited 17 days to investigate the crime scene because they were waiting on visas.
Unbelievable.
“Look, we can come in with guns blazing, or we can come in like normal visitors. The issue of visas is off the table. We don’t need them, understand? So what’s it going to be? We come in hot? or we come in like diplomats?”
Thanks servo1969.
More leading from behind.
I am very fortunate I have a computer screen left in front of me. I am so incredibly angry I’m crying...for our country and those poor fellow Americans who were sacrificed on the altar of liberal idiocy.
Obviously this is why it took George W. Bush some weeks to respond after the 9/11 WTC attack...our special ops guys were waiting for their darn visas from some putz in the Taliban Foreign Service office.

You are not alone. I am SO outraged by so many things connected to this Benghazi debacle. I’m sitting here trying to figure out what I can DO ... just talking about it isn’t enough. My reps are Jim Webb (leaving Senate) & Eric Cantor (ugh) .... of course, Congress is out of session so what good is calling DC going to do? I’ll think of something.
I guess the administration could have gone to CNN and - if they asked nicely - have deputized a cameraman or two to go to Bengazi and take a look around. At least CNN could get visas . . .
If this is the SOP of Obama Administration, then are we to assume that Seal Team 6 had their appropriate Pakistani visas for the Bin Laden op?
Ok, the pres blows off foreign security briefings and now says he never knew that more security was needed.
Maybe if you had went to work and not to the golf course, vacation, talk shows, you would have been more equipped to do your freakin job.
All of the Sunday morning operatives are chiming in unison The Republicans cut the embassy security budget as to why this happened. Adding that, it is shockingly shameful that the Repubs are politicizing this tragedy.
Always blaming someone else.
A real leader would have persuaded or prevailed upon the Lybian government to grant those visas immediately.
post of the day
Judge Jeanine was awesome last night. She had an all star cast on her show and it was terrific. She has a great future in TV if she wants it.
Reminds me of how the FBI couldn’t get into Yemen to interview the terrorists, or investigate the bombing of the U.S.S. Cole. Besides the local hostilities, they had to contend with a State Department that didn’t want to push the issue because they wanted to keep good relations with the Yemeni government. Sound familiar? Additionally, because of the Gorelick wall, the CIA would not share information with the FBI, and thus a lot of info and connections between the USS Cole bombing and 9/11 were left unexplored. Clintons involved both times, and Americans died needlessly because of their incompetence.
They were being sent over to investigate a raid on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi which is sovereign U.S. territory. Just give the diplomatic passports for goodness sake.

While tragic, their deaths were the deaths of those who stepped up and gave their all to save the rest of us, and our families.
Those two Seals did not die in vain, rather, they died a heros death, almost certainly saving the whole of the United Sates from a dreadful fate.
The column I linked to is a rational explaination of just how that came to be.
Waited for visas?!!!! Haven’t these feckless limp losers a clue?”
