Actually Mr Collins and his wife lived in Mississippi for many years. She being a native of the state. Like Morgan Freeman, (who lives in the Mississippi Delta) when some bigot asked, "You can afford to live anywhere you want, why would you live in Clarksdale, Mississippi?" Freeman eplied "Because I can afford to live where I want to."

I recall him hosting the Miss America Pageant.
Great host and actor.

First face that popped into my mind was Gary Coleman!

RIP, Mr. Collins. He played one of Dean Martin’s co-pilots in the original “Airport” film. I also remember seeing him say that he and his wife Mary Ann were Republicans, rare for Hollywood.
