The ECLA was created over time out of a number of ethnic Lutheran churches ~ e.g. the Danish, Swedish, Finnish, Norwegian, Icelandic and Latvian churches ~ a minimum, plus a good number of German congregations that didn't quite fit in the other large macro synods.
It looks like they picked up the Nazi party as well ~ but you can't be perfect in this sort of thing I suppose ~ maybe a bit more careful of course, but not perfect.

The ELCA was formed in 1988 as the merger of three Lutheran denominations, the LCA, ALC, and AELC. They are a deliberately unrepentant liberal organization and have been losing members at a sustained clip for some years, as the official corporate church veers further and further away from orthodox Chriistianity.
This dishonorable conduct toward Israel is consistent with their reliance on secular leftwing politics at the expense of the Holy Gospel.

I don’t believe it is fair to call the ELCA “Lutheran” any more
