Report: More trouble for Jackson Jr.

Rep. Jesse Jackson, Jr. (D-Ill.) – gone from Congress since June on a medical leave of absence – is now facing a new federal investigation into “suspicious activity” in his finances, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.

According to the Sun-Times, federal investigators are looking into Jackson’s finances surrounding his House seat and the “possibility of inappropriate expenditures." This latest probe doesn’t involve the ethical troubles that had been surrounding Jackson in connection with allegations that he used official resources to try and win appointment to President Barack Obama’s old Senate seat, the Sun-Times reported.

The investigation had been active before Jackson took a formal leave of absence on June 10, according to the newspaper. Jackson’s office did not publicly disclose the lawmaker’s leave of absence until two weeks later.

A Jackson spokesman told the Sun-Times that he was not aware of any investigation. Another top aide to Jackson did not return an e-mail from POLITICO seeking comment.

Jackson’s aides said in late June that he had taken a leave of absence but did not disclose why. Later, his staff revealed that Jackson was being treated at the Mayo Clinic for bipolar disorder.

He has since left the Rochester, Minn., clinic and returned to Washington, D.C., but has given no indication when he would return to work on Capitol Hill.

I did NOT know that, but that doesn't surprise me.

Something was always off about Julia Carson. I'd see her in commercials, and she was clearly 1)impaired 2)stupid 3)a puppet.

When she appeared on TV urging people to be a "bug buster" and get a flu shot, I thought "This woman can barely speak. So how come when "she" writes an editorial for the Indianapolis Star all of a sudden she has perfect grammar and syntax?"

Her grandson is a perfect replacement for her. Misguided, mis-educated, and able to "relate" to his constituents on a 3rd grade level. Which is about how intelligent his constituents are.

I thought I was the only sane person in Indianapolis when I voted against her. Repeatedly.

Interesting. So Jackson, though locked in a mental institution, somehow qualified for the ballot. And there's NOTHING that can be done about it. And the joke is his token challenger, the republican will lose. So the mental defective voters will elect a literal zombie to Congress.

Even If I lived in Jackson's district, I'd want SOMEONE to represent me, if only to bring home the pork and keep the welfare checks coming.

I'm stunned that there wasn't some other democrat who would step up. It would be the easiest pick up in the state.

Perhaps this medical emergency for bi-polar disorder is his strategy for beating the rap for the charges that come from the investigation. If cleared because he’s nuts, it won’t have much affect among those who vote for his kind of “class”. What’s really scary is that his disorder would keep anyone but a politician from ever getting a security clearance, but the position assumes the need/right for the clearance and access to sensitive info - really sick that mental sickness isn’t a disqualifying factor for our elected officials.

Mayor Rahm danced into the controversy after Alderman Proco Joe Moreno (1st ward) publicly announced his opposition to Chick-Fil-A opening in his ward.

Mayor Rham chuckled while doing a graceful plie: "It's easy to do business in Chicago when you know 'the rules.' Chick-Fil-A can open in our town as long as it adopts 'Chicago Values.' "

(1) weekly cash pay off to the alderman;

(2) hire six of the alderman's friends who work only random days of the month,

(3) BIG AL from the Mayor's office picks up all cash in brown paper bags at CFA's back door,

(4) Chick Fil A staff trained to shoot 10-12 customers per month,

(5) Any CFA customers actually killed must be registered to vote as Democrats,

(6) $100,00 campaign contribution to Obama,

(7) free sandwiches and watermelon salsa to Jesse Jackson, Jr, who
is "convalescing," b/c he screwed up buying Obama's Senate seat.

Dad was already married, his biological mother was a teen ager, when she grew up she married a Jackson who adopted Sr. OTOH dad was recognized and accepted in the community as his father. IOW it was not kept a secret.
