Vice President Joe Biden's repeated laughter during Thursday's debate was a reflection of the "enormous amount of passion and joy" he brings to the job of serving the American people, White House press secretary Jay Carney said on Friday.
Biden has drawn criticism for cracking up when Paul Ryan was talking about everything from Medicare to tax cuts to Iran's quest for a nuclear weapon.
"The person I saw up there last night is somebody who is absolutely passionate about fighting for and defending the middle class... and who comes to his job -- this many years in to serving his country in the Senate and now to the White House -- with an enormous amount of passion and joy," Carney said.

I heard someone say he acts like he has ADD, and that his Ritalin kicked in about a third of the way through the debate.

True enough; that would depress one’s conscience just long enough to “get the job done” so to speak.

Four Americans in Benghazi are dead. There hasn’t been any evidence demonstrating that they died quickly. Any or all of them may have been tortured in horrible ways before they died.
Obama’s incompetence, at the very least, resulted in the brutal killing of these Americans. Their families will never see them again. Their loved ones will never again see their smiles or hear their laughs.
Yet when this subject comes up in the debate, Biden laughs with “passion and joy”.
Carney is an empty suit going out and repeating what he is told to say...I hope you have salted away a good nest egg, Carney....No respectable person would hire you after this stage show...*LOL

Biden’s laughter was that of a bitter, old fool who realizes he will only be remembered as Obama’s fool. His relevancy ended the moment he agreed to become Obama’s running mate. Had he remained in the Senate, the title “Lion of the Senate” could have been his.
His ego prevented him from seeing the obvious. Obama neutralized him by offering him the VP slot.
He was “somebody” as Senator Biden. Now he is the village idiot.
Last night was about his ego as much as anything else. Why else go to such extremes trying to bully someone he perceived as weak.
