Saturday Night LIve won the veep debate. Which is great, since that’s where 20% of America gets it’s political news.

... and then they are going to have a choice as to how to portray Ryan. This is where his calm and cool wins for him. They’re not going to portray Ryan as a wimp who cowered at Biden, they will portray a normal intelligent guy looking at the Biden character with a ‘WTF’ expression every time he makes a sound.

What’s interesting about the 4 point CNN/ORC poll is that they make specific mention that the random sample came in as R/D/I 34/31/35 ... and they go on to say that it represents more Republicans than normal polls ... when in fact what they are citing is a model that represents more closely the actual partisan make up of the country in 2012. That is also good news. Maybe they are just realizing it.

This debate has quietly served to reassure independent voters who moved to Romney after the 1st debate that they made a wise decision. I doubt the polls will move at all, however what can’t be measured by the polls is ‘How much did the debate strengthen, rather than advance, the surge.’

Great night for Ryan (and Romney.)

Obama and Biden campaign dragged their own respect level down yet another one or two notches.

Fun night for the dem base, but over the next week they are going to be wondering why the rest of America, including many in their beloved MSM and the polls, don’t see it the way they do.

It has moved the undecided women voters into the Romney/Ryan column by showing women that these two clowns don’t care about people suffering and by Biden laughing is shows women that this is how Obama and Biden react towards people’s misery.

“I doubt the polls will move at all,...”

That’s what I thought, too. But I’m starting to revise my opinion for a couple of reasons...

1. The appearance - Biden’s bozo act will be the thing that will be remembered whenever the VP debate is brought up. This is not going to sit well with independents.

2. Some of the “factual” statements he made regarding what and when the administration knew regarding the Libya disaster is only going to intensify the scrutiny of the subject. Not going to be good for Obama.

3. Additionally there were the typical Biden gaffes and inaccuracies that will be uncovered in the postmortem. One that comes to mind is that he said he voted against the Iraqi and Afghan wars, when in fact he voted for both.

I hope they show Biden laughing with a sound track of Anderson Cooper giggleling.

What I think can’t be measured is how many have gone from “Yeah, sure, I’ll go vote” to “There is no F’ing way you can keep me away from voting. Now get out of the way!”
