Oh sure, I caught it. That was a good one. But reading in the WSJ a couple of weeks ago a report from the inside of the Romney camp, I understood that in preparing for the debates they voted there against using “zingers”. I think it was a mistake. Again, I think these debates are in part much like professional wrestling.

Ryan was overwhelmingly better in the close. Biden rambled and seemed distracted. Ryan was clear, firm, precise and effective.

I think it was a mistake. Agreed. The Romney camp needs to study up on Ronald Reagan's successful and devastating use of zingers in his presidential debates. It's a fine art in politics, which goes back a very long way.
