Lance Armstrong said he wanted to see the names of his accusers. The U.S. Anti-Doping Agency gave him 26, including 11 ex-teammates.

About 200 pages filled with vivid details _ from the hotel rooms riders transformed into makeshift blood-transfusion centers to the way Armstrong's ex-wife rolled cortisone pills into foil and handed them out to all the cyclists.

Indeed. What gets me is that Ben Johnson wins the 1988 100m gold tests + and subsequently gets stripped of medal and his previous medals as well. Now a few years later documents are found in the former East Germany after reunification showing virtually the entire East German olympic program was doping. Now that involved hundreds of gold medal performances over the years East Germany competed. IOC decides its all too much to strip so many medals and thus the sound of crickets.

“amazing feat, and in retrospect, very suspect....”

Is it really suspect when almost every other participant in the race is using PED’s?

It’s just like any other drug case, get the little fish to turn in the big fish, that’s how it’s done. Armstrong was the biggest fish.

Hearsay, not even admissible in court. No facts to it. This is a report brought by abuse of government power by an idiot liberal that wants to use his position in government to bury Armstrong.

Right, and he actually expects us to believe that, in a sport full of cheaters, he was the only honest man AND he beat all the cheaters honestly. Suuuuuuuuuuure.

I guess your support for this liberal government employee makes you a “GovBot”, since you like that third grade term “bot”. Nice to know you support the government attacking private citizens without trial. If this liberal idiot of a government employee has evidence of a crime he needs to prosecute it, otherwise he needs to shut up and stop abuse government power to try to destroy a private citizen. So much for you being a conservative.

9 people testifying about their DIRECT knowledge of Armstrong’s doping is not hearsay.

So you support Bills of Attainder: "A bill of attainder is an act of a legislature declaring a person or group of persons guilty of some crime and punishing them without privilege of a judicial trial."

United States Constitution, Article 1, Section 9: "No bill of attainder or ex post facto Law shall be passed."

So much for the Constitution and your support of the government abusing its power to slander and punish a citizen without trial.

“is not hearsay.”

It is when it is not under oath in a court of law.

Well, since we’re not under oath in court, everything you are saying is just hearsay, and I choose to disregard it :P

The rumor was that he rode a Ferrari to victory over those 7 years. The rumor has proven to be true:

Well think about it for a minute.

If they were all using it, then how did he pass them all by???

What the hell are you on about? This isn’t a criminal proceeding. The legislature isn’t punishing Armstrong. Get a grip man.

Slander? It’s not slander to report the findings of an investigation. That’s called reporting the findings of an investigation. Please show a little respect for the English language.

“If they were all using it, then how did he pass them all by???”

Exactly.

Either Armstrong was cheating, or they must expect us to believe he is from the planet Krypton, since he could whizz past all the cheaters with his superhuman abilities.

Still, it’s good that we have stories like this, to remind us that liberals are not the only people capable of wallowing in the muddy waters of self-delusion.

That's right. And Armstong is about to get crushed by the evidence against him.

You've fallen for Armstrong's biggest lie. He's had a few positive tests beginning in the early 2000s. If you're interested in Armstrong and the TdF there are fascinating new books to read.

From your link:

bigmountainsmallman Mon, 2012-08-27 13:28

“Lance is a cheater. Please stop glorifying the cheater. Lance and company stole the dreams of cyclists who are honest and wouldn’t cheat. It often meant leaving the sport, which many talented and honest riders did, or racing at a lower level and making very little money despite the same sacrifices, or sticking to a cleaner part of the sport like mountain biking. The honest cyclists train just as hard as the cheaters, and some likely also have the “tactical savvy, skill, and other elusive qualities only the greatest of champions possess” they just don’t have that extra “Euro gear” that cheaters like Lance and company made necessary to compete. Oh, and honest cyclists are completely ignored by Bicycling.com while cheaters are glorified.”
